I am self employed, and now that business is slow, I can earn as much extra income as I want mystery shopping. My goal is to consistently make $100 per day. I only accept shops that pay $20 or more, and I don't conduct shops where I have to spend any money up front. Occasionally I will do an upscale restaurant shop, just because I will get reimbursed for a dinner I would have had anyway. The majority of my shops are apartments, new homes, cellular, electronic stores, or any shop where I only need to make an iquiry, not purchase anything.

I have also accepted a regular part-time job merchandising at Circuit City. It pays $12/hr. and I work about 40 hours per month. I hope to find a few more jobs like it. I got this job through Shadow Shoppers.
I am trying mytery shopping because im a youg soon to be mother and going to college and im going to need this money soon
to earn alot of money I enjoy shopping and I am working retail now which I would really like to leave with this manager we have but I do not want to pay any fee for getting a list of places
I started to supplement our income. My husband and I make fairly good hourly wages. We are in our early 30's, with 2 children in daycare (at around $160 for 3 days a week). Our choices have landed us a nice 96 acre plot of land, which we purchased just before child #2 was unexpectedly created! So now with 2 children (both boys) and a nice mortgage payment, this is helping to pay those bills. I started in 7/06, and was averaging $350 from Aug-Dec 06. 2007 has brought monthly income from $262 in March (not much shopping done in Feb) to just shy of $600 for September! So this is working very well to help pay our bills. What I made this month covered our daycare for a whole month! I live in a rural area, and travel weekly at least 30 miles in all directions to the nearest large towns to pick up shops. Just learn to make the trip worthwhile by scheduling more than one shop, and negotiating with the schedulers on the commission!
Brian, I am so happy to know that altruism exists in our little community (wink).

Frankly, I cannot hold a full time job anymore; I have Parkinson's. But with shopping, there are altruistic companies that will work with me, when I have a bad day. Don't get me wrong, they aren't often. Most days no one would know. And some days, my cane is a great prop for a scenerio!

But I want to encourage some of the disabled reading this to try, if it is appropriate for them.
