Income Tax Shop

Someone stated that the Income Tax Shop is known by the tax preparer? I thought it said something else when I read it and passed it over? How is that known? Is the company being shopped at the time also? Why is that considered a hit on the persons credit report? I am sorry, but this is confusing to me. Wow, I am glad I am not doing one of those!

I've never heard of one where the tax preparer was aware they were being shopped. Some have included applying for a RAL (Refund Anticipation Loan) so those would have to hit your credit.
