The Cricket signs are still on the stores. I just wish I could find an employee at the three I've visited since then who: (a) Can explain why my phone is not doing something it should, (cool smiley can explain why my phone is doing something it shouldn't, and (c) can show me how to make changes without grabbing the phone and holding it to his/her face while making rapid finger movements and then saying, "There it is fixed. I also did (1) (2) and (3) that you didn't ask for." My gmail on my phone hasn't sent me a message since Dec. 31st. That's not the only thing.
Those shops were gone last summer, although they extended our service through November. Unfortunately, the phone I purchased (HTC One) can't be used for any other service provider. It's only good for Cricket, so I can't bring it to T-Mobile (my provider) or trade in anywhere else. Even Best Buy didn't want it - and they take everything. I've seen the phones on Craig's List, so I'm going to try and sell it there.

As for Cricket, there were only two locations in my town - both in extremely undesirable areas. The worst part was that they gave me a number that still came up with the caller ID of the person who had the number before me. I kept getting that person's calls and texts, so their service must have been terminated within a week of my service. I repeatedly asked for a new number or the caller ID to be corrected, since no one I called would answer the phone with that other's person's name. Cricket said it would take 90 days! It actually took almost 6 months for Cricket to correct the caller ID. By then, the shop ended.
Yep. I've got THREE HTC Ones that I can't seem to get rid of. I guess I'll try Craig's List.
I thought any cell phone can be unlocked and rendered still useable with other phone service providers????.

Can't the phone still be used solely for pics and video??? If yes, then keep it as a spare camera...

Millions of storefront places unlock cell phones in NYC....

I guess most of us went for the HTC phone with them. I wonder if it would have been better getting the iPhone 4.

Anyway... Stuck with two HTCs one - AKA nice camera / MP3 player / gaming gadget.
