Wow! Should I include it in my report?

So, I was doing a shop and before I even got out of the car, I spotted a lady by herself intently watching the cook in the kitchen (part of the shop). She had a tablet out in front of her too. I noticed her because I had seen the same woman sitting in her car the past weekend reading notes in a binder before she got out to go inside the restaurant. I told my boyfriend she stood out to me, and we went in to do our shop. At some point after she got her food, she started to play around her tablet. Something must have been really funny because she was laughing out loud and so hard, she was shaking and laid her head down on the table laughing so hard. At this point, I stopped watching her and got back to business and finished my shop attentively. As we were getting in the car, I looked in the restaurant and noticed the lady never got back up from where she laid her head down! I told my boyfriend we should go in and check on her, but as I was telling him- An employee came up to check on her. We watched him say "Ma'am? Ma'am? Ma'am?!" and when she never responded, the poor guy's eyes were as big as plates. You could tell he panicked a little because instead of tapping her, he just checked her pulse instead. I couldn't help but laugh at that bc it "woke" the woman up and scared both of them senseless. She looked so embarrassed though. I felt bad for her. She scrambled to gather up her stuff. I was technically outside when it happened, but I saw the whole thing. I don't know if it's worth putting in the report that he tried to check on her or leave it out since I had already left the building?

I included it, but I left out details of how he handled it. Just that he tried to help her. I figured it scared him enough, he should get credit for trying. smiling smiley
I probably would have done something like what you did.
I was doing a McDonald's shop and their was a LOUD domestic dispute complete with flying trays and food. I had already sat long enough by the time it escalated so it didn't affect timings etc. I included a brief statement about it and how the employees handled it.
Unless it directly affected my shop in some way, I would not have included it in the report.
An interesting story. If it does not impact your required observations, then no, I would probably not include it in the shop report, especially if the report is one of those that has less narrative than many. However, there are all sorts of observations that are not technically part of the shop that make you wonder if the client would want to know. For those I have sent such information in a separate email to the scheduler with a note saying I'm not sure you want it, but here it is for you to add it to the report or not as you choose.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
You did observe it while on site so it is 'fair game'. You seem to feel that the employee handled it well. So I would not include it in the actual report as it might identify ME (depending on traffic in the store since I feel sure the surveillance tapes will be reviewed to see if the woman had taken some pills or choked on food, etc. for potential liability), but I would contact the scheduler and explain what happened so the employee could get credit for his/her caring actions.
