SHOP PICS: Level of megapixels required????

What is the minimum photo megapixels required for shop pics??
Does it differ from msc to msc???

Marketforce says 2.0. But what about all of the other msc's ???

It varies by company. Some want super clear pics and allow for more. Some, don't need the clarity and require jus the two.

The only problem I have had is with Marketforce. Not sure why they have the requirement of 2.0 but it is a pain in my butt.

Granted I haven't done anything with MF for a long time, last I looked the 2.0 was the maximum size to upload to their system. I always took photos in that 480x640 or whatever it is.

Same as Lisa, though sometimes even those are too large. If I crop them, they work.

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

Pixels and file size are two different things as far as I know.

My camera is 8.0 megapixels.

When I get the photos ready for MF, I resize them in half and send them as is. No cropping (they ask us not to do that). The file size is reduced by half. The pixels have not changed.

Explain please....

Market Force says "As close to 2MB without going over" - I take 'em larger and resize at home.

Yeah..my file size is huge, but when I get home, I use a bulk resizer and resize them to 1/2 and it's A-Okay.

So when I upgrade my camera phone, which size megapixels will suffice for most shops???

My current one has 3 MP which is insufficient for shop pics????

JUST had a prob ironically w/this, on a Pizza John's shop they BEGGED me to take on Fri.......they kept calling my house, my cell........ emailing............ then, the photo sizes changed 3 times.. I called them immediately, no answer, no c/b's.....it was NOT MF either......... so, wtf?
