If you could do one restaurant shop for the rest of your life...

I like Five Guys too! But there's a local hotel restaurant that I go to with the hubby that's become a favorite for us for Sunday brunch;-)

Rubios! They used to make us order fish and I do not eat fish but now we can order any entree. The gourmet chicken tacos are delicious. I also am a fan of lotsa fries but have been banned.
I've just discovered Rubio's, thanks to mystery shopping. I love the fish tacos! I'll probably want variety, some time down the line, but for now....
I've only gotten it once on a shop, but I love Roy's! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I also like Five Guys more now that I can get the Veggie Sandwich, which I think is really good with cheese and a little A1. I liked Capital Grille when I did it, but I was pretty far over the reimbursement so I'm not jumping to do it again anytime soon.
Dairy Queen! Have not seen that one this year so far though. Don't like the Orange Julius part...throw them out, but do like the Blizzards.

Margaritaville sounds great, but we don't have one in St. Pete, just Orlando and that is too far to go. Also, I don't know what MSC does those shops.
You guys are making me jealous with all your restaurants! Most of the restaurants I see in my area that are shopped are fast food and mediocre casual dining restaurants.

But if I had to pick one restaurant I could do the rest of my life, it would be The Keg. I like that they have a large variety of food on their menu which changes every season so I wouldn't get sick of eating there. But I wish the MSC would streamline the reports to Yes/No with brief comments and add a shopper fee.
Chipotle !!!!!!! I have 4 assigned this month and I've paid for 3 on my own, avoid the guac (yuck even though it's good for guac) cheese and sour cream. I'm on the road so I can eat at a different one every day and it's consistently good for fast food.
For the money (when reasonably bonused, obviously), quantity of shops available and relative ease of reporting, I'd say McD's.

Strictly talking about food, my first choice would be Pita Pit, although the narrative requirements and relatively low fee make those somewhat less exciting. I also really enjoy Cinco Chicos' veggie sandwiches, and those shop reports are reasonably fast and easy so there's a good balance there.

I guess if I'm picking just one, I'd have to go with McD's.
I think I would choose Texas Roadhouse because of the food and the easy report.

My second choice would be Newick's, a local seafood restaurant with just a couple of locations. We need to order an appetizer, two entrees and dessert, and I'm always too full for dessert. The reimbursement does not cover the requirements.

If I could create my ideal restaurant, it would be one that combines Five Guys and McDonalds: it would serve the Five Guys burgers and McDonald's fries.
I used to do a lot of Cheesecake Factory shops, but haven't lately. There isn't one very close to me, so the schedule just has to work out that way. Have the reports changed?

I also like Capital Grille. Again, not too close but a nice lunch-with-a-friend place.

I'm going to have to reconsider 5 Guys based on the new requirements, which is why I stopped doing those. There's one very close to me! How are those reports?

I'm "Sandi" in the Middle!
Sandi, the report for Five Guys is easy. It's typical of the reports for that MSC.

DRJ - Subway is shopped. I don't think every location is shopped. There are 100 locations around me, but I may only see 10 on the job board.
Flemings Steakhouse. Yum! I love that one; it reimburses $200 for the meal and another $25 for valet parking.
Hey jillmarie, I usually get the special beer of the day at BWW. It's usually at or less than getting a soda!

First choice would be BJ's non-bar shops, but they disappeared out here. If I could only do 1 fast food shop a day for the rest of my life it would be Sonic, since it offers the most variety of the ff shops out here. And the report is easy.

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.
My favorite shop has been Biagi's Italian but the reports are awful. I have also done Texas Roadhouse, HuHot and Granite City. None of them pay anything beyond reimbursement. I'd love to find some that also pay a fee in addition to reimbursement.
Thanks for your input!
I really enjoy BJ's and mostly do bar audits (!!). I've done over 20 5Guys, ok except for the form, JackintheBox, ok, except now oatmeal, yuck. And many, many automobile shops.
Cheeseburger in Paradise also works with enough of a reimbursement to cover meal and tip, and a fee for doing the shop.

This question is for the Canadian shoppers: is Five Guys shopped in Canada?

Yes it is. Around me it is shopped by the same company as McD.

Hello Guys, I am new to mystery shopping. Just a quick question, on what site are you finding all of these shops. Thanks
You're also new to the board obviously. winking smiley

The contract we sign with most companies includes a non-disclosure agreement and telling you who shops what client would be a breech of that contract. On top of that it's against the rules of this forum.

Having said that. Sign up for more companies. Start with the ones that are most mentioned and you'll find a lot of the shops that we're talking about. Although I'm signed up with over 100 and I *still* haven't found the Burger King shops someone mentioned earlier.
