Jola, there are a lot of restaurants mentioned which means there are a lot of different mystery shopping companies. bgriffin gave you some excellent advice.

Irk, I'm assuming that is a joke right? You've been shopping for a long time and been here for about six yearswinking smiley

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

ZOMG I gave good advice?!?!!?

It only seems like I've been annoying you for 6 years, but really it's only been 6 months. I did my first shop 7/27/13.

Loved Houston's. Are they still shopped? If so, they must be using a different company than before.

Gosh, I really wish we could disclose the shop companies for some of these shops. I am signed up with about 5 million companies and I still haven't found the BJs, Cheesecake factory, Applebee's, ClaimJumper....... is it illegal for you guys to EMAIL me with the companies????????? smiling smiley
Yes. We signed a contract with each company. Our word means something. Without it, nothing in our reports is believable.

I get that reaction a lot. :/

Joe's Crab Shack, J. Alexander and Rainforest Cafe. I would say Capital Grille, except for the new requirement of wine. The report for Pita Pit is a PITA. Cantina Laredo has the easiest 5 min report for casual dining.

Edited to add: Cheesecake is another, except I can't keep under the $30 gift card.

Cheesecake Factory for their vast menu. Capital Grill for their ambiance and class.

I mentioned Flemings a few days ago, and within a few minutes I was sent a PM asking me to disclose the company who shopped them...and it was actually someone who has been around for 156 posts. They should know better by now.

Thank you Lisa!
the wing shops are in one / out one - it's less than 35 days as long as you are not two in a row
This thread mentions a restaurant whose founder is a friend of my largest personal client, and yes, this founder of the mentioned restaurant knows me and my relationship with my client.

My three largest clients are restaurateurs, I'm pretty much set for life or till I get too old to move or whatever.

ap7isback, that is totally awesome! I am sure I am not alone when I say, it's uplifting to hear your success story!

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
Hey, don't give me too much glory... I'm small fry and I know it. Big fish in big pond size of whale, big fish in thimble is minnow....

Is it one of the large well known companies? I'm guessing maybe it varies by franchisee whether they are shopped and maybe it's by one of the lesser know companies?
which Capitol Grille?? JC, there is one in Denver we haven't gone too yet.

WOW, tried Mellow Mushroom after the diabetes expo Sat, wow! Really good!
I honestly don't like Mellow Mushroom pizza, but their jerk chicken sandwich is spectacular!

Franchisers often have franchises shopped, sometimes Franchisee's have their own MSC's, shopping themselves or other franchise owner's (competitive shop). I've even seen a Franchisee shopping a company store, for competitive analysis.
I used to love to shop Houstons. I don't live near one anymore.

I enjoy shopping Uno's and Red Robin.

When ever someone asks me what msing is I refer to an experience at Houston's. Our table was not preset. I ordered buffalo wings for an appetizer. When the waitress brought them to me I asked her for some napkins. She brought me a single cocktail napkin from the bar.

A question on the survey at that time was something along the lines of 'did your server anticipate your needs'?

No.
I keep asking but no one seems to know... Is Houstons still being shopped? I am just curious because the MSC that used to have them no longer offers them. I'm not asking for the new MSC name... Just curious so I can start looking again. I love going there!

It would make more sense and be more helpful if shoppers replying say what city or what region of the country they are shopping. The restaurants mentioned here did not ring any bells for me except McD, but I don't call McD fine dining at all.
Texas Roadhouse! The only way to make it better would be if they stopped line dancing. Love the food, but can't make myself take a bite if there are college-age kids kicking up their heels just a few feet from my plate. Eating is suspended until the dancing stops.
