Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
What this means is that the location you are interested in is shopped more then once.

The project is released as a whole and the individual schedulers roll out their dates as needed. (Schedulers usually have a few projects and a few hundred shops so they may be a bit behind in updating the available dates.)

The shops at the same location needs to be so many days apart. Another shopper has already chosen a shop during that time period blocking out another shop being from accepted.

Email your scheduler and let him/her know that you want the shop and let them know what dates you can shop and ask them what dates are now available.

Ask, communicate, and be proactive and you will receive help and most likely the shop.

While you are here venting and others are snickering and laughing about something you don't understand, someone else is communicating with the scheduler, establishing a rapport, showing initiative and getting the shop you wanted.

I had for a shop and requested bonus. I received a phone call backs telling me that my bonus request had been accepted, but only if I did jobs at the same location. I called it more information about it and the conversation went something like this.

Shop A contains a mystery shop and an audit. Shop A must be done after dark. Since shop A contains a mystery shop portion it must be done before shop B.

ShopB must be done during daylight hours.

It took them quite a while to understand why this would be challenging to complete correctly. They were unwilling to budge on the day part for either one.

I was informed since I was going to the same location, I could only get a bonus on one shop. The location was 70 miles one way, so I ended up doing neither.

Sally while your information is great, please lighten up. We are here venting because this is the place for it. You may never know, she may have already made contact with the scheduler.

As far at the date thing goes, I too usually bang my head and look at it like my pup looks at Florida black water.

Just lost trying to find a fire pit in a concrete jungle wishing it was a wooded glen...

if it wasn't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all
@Sallyctcss Thank you. I sincerely apologize if my comment made you feel uncomfortable.

Still, it is a Sassie "bug" disguised as a feature. And well, in Southern California, and when your FULL income is based on MSing, your performance and route planning is key. If I stop and wait until the scheduler replies I might lose other shops that could complement my route. If I get that problem, I just jump to the next shop / MSC and finish planning my routes.

Now, it terms of building rapport, team work, and since I also shop CTCSS's project, hey, how about if we get together on a few mail threads and we work on a couple of routes?

With the influx of schedulers on all sections of the forum, it may be a good time to point out one of the functions here. We all work alone and the forum often serves as a break room. Humor is often used to cope with frustrating situations. If you were on a coffee break and laughing about the some of the silly aspects of your job, would you want someone to come along and chastise you?

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
@LisaSTL - Thank you! And yes, some times our job can get frustrating - and being alone without anyone to vent is not nice. I love this forum. =)

Cheers!

I was not offended at all.

Communication is so important. I learn from the shoppers complaints and I can also help shoppers understand something that seems like a glitch or mistake.

I can certainly send your info out to all my co-schedules saying you want to plan a route. PM me some info on when and where you want to go on your route so I can my co-schedulers can see what they have a contact you.
