Any car shops out there?

As the snow finally melts, Im having an urge to go do some new car shops. Call me crazy but I like them.

However, I can't deal with the $17 car shops. Too much work for not enough pay. If they'd only make it just $25 I'd do them nonstop.

My other car shop companies (Automotive Inisights, Monterey, Measure Consumer Prespectives) don't seem to have much going on at present.

Any MSC with new car shops out there I've missed?

Oh yes! You are missing a major one that sends 50 emails per day about these shops. I see shops available right now in MN.
Whatever you do, please don't take a new car shop for $17. It cheapens what we do.

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
The first car shop I did was at $17.00. Never again. There is one that pays $60.00 and has lots and lots of lots. (see what I did there?) If you do video, there is one that has several for $150 each.

I have a new car shop scheduled for next week for $32.00. I took it for three reasons...
1) I am actually shopping for a new car so I might as well get paid for it.
2) I am trying to get more car experience with written reports before delving into video.
3) This will be an anchor shop in a mini-route that I already had scheduled.

When I first started mystery shopping I did a car shop for 17 dollars - never again. Learned my lesson, however I will gladly do them for a decent wage - at least $25. I see a lot of car shop for Intellishop - they just do not pay enough for the shops.
Agree! The $17 shops are just about the worst deal ever... None of those on my plate!

Even if Intellishop was paying $50, it would not be enough to pay for time spent addressing their ridiculous requirements and editors.
The $60 car shop jonchance referred to was my first car shop. Their video car shop was my first entry to video shopping, using their camera. I had no video training. I watched their training video and went for it.

I enjoy the car ones but $17 is nuts. I wish the car dealer did not have all of my personal info though. The highest I have seen around here was $50 for a high end shop. Most are $17-ish. I saw $22 for a Caddy.
Well, someone is taking the $17 car shops with Intellishop because they do disappear off the boards in my area. Newbies don't know any better. And some shoppers take shops out of boredom. Must be nice, huh?

I've never been that bored.

I just plain refuse to do them anymore. The last one, the salesman had absolutely no interest in selling me a vehicle. On the test drive the only things he said to me was, turn right here, make a left, go one block, etc. It was a bugger to fill in the report because I had nothing to type into there. That was a word count and I had no idea what to say.
You say the salesperson did not talk about the vehicle during the test drive, our only conversation was when he gave me directions where to turn. Sorry, I don't understand why people make reports so difficult when the salespeople don't do what they're supposed to. Or get personally involved in the report and how the salesperson does. I report what happened. Makes no difference to me if what happened is "right" or not.

bgriffin - SOME reports want you to describe in a minimum of 500 characters the conversation in the car, for example.

"The salesperson did not talk about the vehicle at all during the test drive. The salesperson only told me where to turn, and gave me directions during our drive. Nothing else was said during my entire test drive."

This description is a whopping 214 characters. What else should I say for the other 386? THERE in lies the problem!
