Dragon Naturally Speaking for narratives?

Quick question... I have used Dragon before, mainly when I was into translations. Has anyone here used any dictation software for narratives? What has been your experience?

I've tried it. I found it extremely frustrating but only because of the way I write. Apparently my flow is far more effective with typing than with speaking. I do way more correcting and changing than I thought I did. It's messy to do that using dictation software. At least when I tried it it was.

I find it is a lot faster to just type the narrative than to go . . . slowly . . . and . . . carefully . . . for the . . . voice recognition. And I have tried both Dragon and the voice recognition software that comes with Win 7 and found the Win 7 version incredibly better but still a PITA.
I love the voice recognition that comes with Siri. I found it to be incredibly accurate.
My wrists bother me when I type long narratives, so I have occasionally turned to the Windows 7 voice recognition and have had reasonable amounts of success doing so. However, I have found it essential to re-read my dictations twice before submitting them, as the software doesn't always get things right.
Thank you all for your comments. I guess I'll try to see if Dragon has improved since I last used it a few years ago.

Any/all of these work better with a USB microphone (as opposed to the headset that comes with Dragon or some other little round pin plug in microphone).
You need to train your dragon profile. I use it at work and I love it. Practice enunciating and after a while it will learn
your voice and how you talk. Make sure you correct correctly if that makes sense.
