Who has the best bakery?

How the hell am I supposed to know???
I didn't realize that your 30 dollar grocery audit required me to visit twenty other groceries to find the best bakery department.

Although the grocery store bakery is where I would send my friends and family for baked goods. I have yet to see the grocery store "bake" the cake or specialty baked goods that would require a recommendation. I watch them take out of the big ovens, breads, rolls and donuts but have yet to see anything else. Perhaps it is too much work for them to have "Us" watching but it sure would settle my curiosity.

The grocer's that have invest in an actual bakery department have chosen to upgrade their baked goods. I don't want to see them frosting/or decorating a cake when they did not make it. They should offer to have the shopper come in an watch while making "OUR" specialty cake. The cost of the specialty good would sure make it worth my while.

BTW, some of the clients do not have "US" to try/taste the baked good. So honestly how can we really tell if they are the best compared to 30 other grocers? (more than half of the stores they name, I have never even heard of smiling smiley)
I don't know how many grocery stores have "full" bakeries anymore. I'm talking about starting with dry ingredients and ending up with finished products. There's a lot "par" baking done offsite along with frozen dough being shopped in and baked on site.
