Price of gas

Has anyone noticed the price of gas slowly creeping up the last two months? It is quickly becoming a factor in accepting shops.

No, I'm sure nobody noticed that at all.

and... "slowly creeping up"? Mine jumped about 30 cents (10%) in one fell swoop about a month ago if I remember right and has gone up another dime since. It was $2.96 and is now $3.36 here.

Glad I bought a hybrid in December. And have horses.

i base my gas cost on 4 dollars a gallon. The padding was getting to thin
so this month i am bassing it on 4.25. Looking at the price of
wholesale today, it has crossed the 3 dollar mark for the first time in
a very long time and if it doesnt retreat by the end of this week, look
for another 30 cent increase at the pump compared to what your paying now.

Yikes it's 4.59 for gas here, this is gonna be a brutal summer if this keeps up.

Floating around like a feather hoping the wind will set me down somewhere awesome.
Yikes Lelou! In the small town I live it is $3.49, but have found it for $3.18, 50 miles away
I also have to put premium in mine. Prices here vary widely. Anywhere from $3.70 to just under $4.00 for premium.

$3.69 here for mid-grade. I always figured $4 a gallon into my quotes, however, I may have to raise that soon.

Arguing with fools is like playing chess with a pigeon...
...No matter how good you are, the pigeon will s@^t on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Not scheduling for ANY company.
We are over $4 for mid-grade. Still seeing some under that for the cheap stuff. (well, 'cheap' might be a misnomer in this case)
WOW! Over $4?! I thought it was crazy at $ 3.75 here, but I use the local grocery store discounts or BJs for a better price.....
Well, $3.75 is still pretty crazy.

BTW, I think BJs means something totally different in my neck of the woods.

So many of our threads take such interesting turns, it seems. And become a whole different type of 'informative'. smiling smiley

I pay 3.29 for regular and $3.49 for premium. It has barely moved in the past few weeks. Maybe we are due for a large jump in my neck of the woods.
Earlier this year, I could fill up for $2.95 gallon (and that was the first time in years gas had been so cheap). It is now $3.79, and rising.

Yet again thankful that I bicycle to my shops. Bonus is that I don't have to go to the gym on days I do shops.
In a town not too far from where I live I filled up at a cost of $3.15/gallon for regular.
Is that in a galaxy far, far away? My local station is at $3.37 today. sad smiley

Wow, they practically give it away. I saw it at 4.57 yesterday for midgrade in San Francisco. I didn't see Irene, though.
$3.45 here in west Texas.

in metro Denver, in Feb, it was down to $2.67 for weeks. now it is up and down, but maintaining .20 up or down from about $3.50/gal
3.35 in south Texas, has increased every 4-6 days for the last month, hope it's stopping or going back down soon. You would think between the two oil booms in Texas and North Dakota, we might see some relief, but it doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon. I don't know too much about how all that works.
I paid $4.37 here in So Cal for the "cheapest" gas. That's up 15 cents from last week.
I use the Cumberland Farms SmartPay app. It draws right from your checking account and cuts 10 cents off per gallon. My favorite part is the rewards, though. They're hot high-value rewards, of course, but it's nice to get a free cup of coffee (their coffee ain't bad!) or trail mix or a Powerade every time I fill up.
Plus, you pay using an app, and I'm a geek, so there's that.
