For Video Shoppers: Have you ever used your video equipment on a non-video shop?

I had a shop this past week where I couldn't see the directions until after I had committed to taking the shop. I had been begged by the schedule to take it and, in spite of the warning signs, I did break down and accept the shop. Reading through the instructions, I began to see that this was a case of the shop being designed for the shopper to fail. I called a friend out west who shops and she suggested that I wear my video rig. I did that and am glad I did as, when I asked for a security guard's name [required], he said, "Just mention number 72." If the venue requires their security to give numbers instead of names, then the instructions should specify such. Anyhow, I have burned a copy of the video to disc and am ready to fight this one if need be.

I don't know about video shopping, but because it is legal in TX, I audio record most every shop I do. My memory gets fuddled sometimes, so listening to the playback helps. Especially when I have to write narratives asking me for ALL the features mentioned in a shop. Today, I'm assisting a video shopper. He needs his "mom" to get into a community. So I'll get to see first hand how it's done. Lucky Me!

Yes I have. I am sooo tempted to walk into a mcdonalds with it especially when they have their finest fools on stage.
I have done it a couple times. It allows me to focus on the scenario without having to worry as much about remembering /noticing details.
I'm not allowed to here in Illinois since we are a 2-party state still....but I would if I could!

Maybe you use this shop to talk the MSC into going to video and upping the fee.
