Should I or shouldn't I? Report error.....

I did a pizza job 5 days ago and I just noticed I marked on the receipt form "Ham/Canadian Bacon" instead of "Bacon". I haven't heard anything about it. Am I better to just let it go or should I tell them? If it was an issue would I have heard about it by now? I'd rather let sleeping dogs lie........Should I or shouldn't I?

Yeah, I was thinking this is a minor mistake that they probably didn't catch since I haven't heard anything about it or they did catch it and it wasn't important enough to say anything.
I believe it is the receipt form that was marked - a paper which you attach the receipt(s), put information about times, and mark which pizza topping(s) you ordered.
Oh, yes, I remember.

Well, if the MSC catches it, the consequences could be dire.

I'd call or e-mail and ask the MSC what the proper thing to do is. They might say it's fine, they might say, good grief, we can't send that report to the client, you won't get paid for it, we need it done by
another shopper; or they might yell about "lying" on reports (I've had that happen!!!!).

If the client catches it after the MSC submits the report to them, the shopper could be....well,
certainly not repeating those shops. Ever.

Might be too late now, anyway. In which case, doing nothing MIGHT be the best thing.

Was Canadian bacon or ham an acceptable topping? Did you have any complaints about the bacon?

If you answered "Yes" and "No", let sleeping dogs lie, don't poke the bear, etc., etc.
It is better to beg forgiveness and use my husband's favorite word: "Oops!"

They may use your honesty against you and use it as a reason not to pay you. I'm not advocating dishonesty, mind you, I'm just saying, well, see above.

There are editors who can not handle the truth. They say it is too negative when reporting anything but the truth would be falsification. An editor sent me a narrative she revised that was pure fantasy.

If I would have written it the report could have and should have been rejected as the information would have been false. Certainly the editors narration was beyond false. She did not want to "offend" the client. The client had no opportunity to become aware of issues at the location. Several months later the owner closed the location.

As an evaluator can not see everything. Some things might be missed and omitted but the obvious can not. If you caught a mistake and it was days after the report was submitted it is not dishonest it is just practical that you let them mention it. I never look at a report after I hit the "send" button unless the client contacts me
From what I've heard of that client, they're extremely fussy, and they take those photographs seriously. I think that if they send it to the client, and the client spots it, there might be a backlash that will harm the MSC, and, of course, will then harm you. If you let them know about it, I'd think that it's a fixable mistake. You could white-out the mistake, re-photograph the receipt form and send it to them. They know you did the shop on time.
