Here's a reason I love mystery shopping as an income stream.....

I was just released from 13 days of hospitalization last Saturday and right now I am recooping from some pretty intense surgery. I need to have my life kind of free of details at the moment to heal and since I am an IC as a mystery shopper - presto - I get to do that if I wish. Right now at the moment I do wish I was making more money but I also can't see myself going back to work as an employee again any time soon as I so crave this flexibility and am willing to make some pretty strong trade offs to get it. I guess the point is here again is another reason mystery shopping works for me.

Sometimes Mystery Shopping seems more like the old yellow stream, than an income stream.

But I do get your point and agree, being an employee can have its own issues.
Hope you recuperate fast and get strong and healthy soon.
Sorry to hear you're down for a while. Since you are posting is it safe to assume the worst is behind you?

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
I hope you get well soon. I agree that mystery shopping is great b/c of the flexibility.
Get well soon!

Just lost trying to find a fire pit in a concrete jungle wishing it was a wooded glen...

if it wasn't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all
Sorry about your hospitalization. Take care of yourself and slowly take up the reins again.

Yes, the worst is behind me. I'm grateful for that. This hospitalization featured a cancer scare - turned out I don't have it !!!!!, a surgical site infection, a gout attack, and a gallbladder finally being removed, but the old fashioned way, not laproscopically. I will be recooping for another four to five weeks and then going back to my usual life. Here's hoping there's no more high drama hospital stays in my future anytime soon anyway.
Thank goodness it was only a scare! Cheers to no more hospital stays for a very long timesmiling smiley

No cancer is wonderful news. I hope your recovery is fast and full, and you get back to shopping soon.

Live consciously....
I hope you recover quickly, and in the meantime, I'll try to cover your turf for you. smiling smiley I was down on Baseline just today.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Wow, that is good news. Too bad it had to come via a surgical procedure, but good nonetheless.

Wishes for a speedy recovery.
Get well soon and rest. Having bee through a few major surgeries my suggestion is when you think you are ready to start back, wait a few more days. Then when you do start back do it very slowly. Just one or two shops the first couple of times. If you let yourself heal correctly, it will take a little longer now, but you will reap huge rewards a few months down the road. You only get one chance to heal right.
You notice: Once you get the "shopping bug" it's pretty hard to work a 9-5 in a big box store smiling smiley

Hope you feel better soon!
Glad to hear you're doing ok and I hope you have a speedy recovery. Too bad you had to have your gallbladder removed that way. The new way is so easy. But it's good to know you're cancer-free!
