Have you ever just forgotten about a report?

I had a report due yesterday and I just plain old forgot about it. Early in the day I thought, oh yeah, got to get that done tonight, but then I just sat on the couch and watched bad TV and forgot all about it.

I've submitted it now but need to email the scheduler, who I really like, and 'fess up.

ARGHH!!! I'm so embarrassed!

Yes and it was a lot longer than the next day before they reminded me. Sheer luck the company was one I had a long track record with and the scheduler was actually chuckling when she called me.

I've totally done that. Working on my report and my eyes get droopy. The next thing I know I'm waking up at the desk at 4 am and I'm like CRAP! Then the adrenaline kicks in, I finish the report and then go to bed and can't get back to sleep.

We had torrential rain a couple weeks ago and got home to find the basement taking on water. I spent the rest of the evening using the shop vac to hold back the flood and finally got to bed at 2 am. I had 2 reports to do, but just didn't have the energy. I did the lengthy reports the next morning and emailed the schedulers. They were nice enough to cut me slack on those.

Could I have a receipt please?
I almost forgot to go out to a shop once. I remembered it at 6:45 pm, luckily, that store closes at 8 pm, so I ran out the door and made it in time.

I've never forgotten to enter a shop because I am pretty "anal" about getting those done but I have forgotten to enter demos, merch jobs and thankfully, wake up and run in there to get them by midnight.

The term "anal" doesn't come from the word "analytical". It comes from "anal retentive", a term from Freudian psychoanalysis.

"Anal" means being overly concerned about small details and/or wanting things to be a very specific way. <---That's me! smiling smiley
I did forget a shop once, but now, I forget which one I forgot.....smiling smiley

Guilty. Did the onsite, did not do the report. As it turned out, the shop got posted again, with a bonus. I apologized to the scheduler and offered to reshop. She gave me the bonused shopsmiling smiley

I felt awful about it, still do, and hope it was a lesson learned.
It is wonderful to be able to come on here, confess about a mistake you made, and have people take the time to let you know you're not alone.

xoxo to my fellow forgetters!
I always do my report as soon as I get home from the shop so the information is still fresh in my head; and also just to get it over with.
Not yet and hope I don't forget. I try to do my report as soon as possible after the shop is done. Get it out of my way and file the paper work.

I have completely forgot to go do a shop. I have completely forgotten to do a report. I fessed up and was forgiven. Well, at least I was given time to do it in both cases.
I am learning my lesson about doing the shop right away. I did a pizza shop today and put aside the box labels to input the survey later. My son cleaned up the house this afternoon while I was out. This was wonderful, of course, but he threw out the box labels. I had to hunt through the garbage, and was unable to find half of one of the labels. Sigh....Maybe they will be nice and accept my report, but if not I guess it is one of those life lessons! tongue sticking out smiley
I periodically do a lot of shops and then cut down (usually because my better paying job is taking up my time). I haven't forgotten to file a report, but I have shopped the wrong location. The scheduler was nice and told me to go to the correct place but that I would not get reimbursed for my expenses for the first shop--not that I expected to anyway.
