All the ones that I have done have either required me to call a phone number first, and then from that extension the client is called and the conversation recorded, or I click a link on the computer, and my phone number is called and once I answer, the client is called with the conversation recorded. Sometimes I can access the recorded call on my computer before I submit the report.
It is usually up to the MSC to provide the means to record the call. Check with the scheduler, and let us know what they say, please.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I only had one shop where I had to use my Digital Voice Recorder to record the shop. I held it near the phone's earpiece & was able to record both sides of the conversation with no problem. I then had to download to the computer and email the file. All my other recorded shops have had a number to call that hooks me into their recording system.

If you don't have a separate digital recorder, and you have an iPhone, there are apps in the App Store for recording calls. I downloaded the app called "Call Recorder" which is free in its most basic form. It creates mp3 files of the recording that you can send to your email and download on a computer from email. If you want to record anything longer than one minute, you'll have to pay for the $9.99 upgrade. I paid for it, and it's paid for itself. I'm sure if you have an Android phone there's something similar, but I wouldn't know what it's called. Just search for "call recording."
