I think I'm going to have to pass on doing the famous midwest employee owned grocery shops. I know that the MSC gives 45 to 60 days for payment and I've now gone almost the entire 60 days from being paid on the shop I did.
That is just one of the reasons for passing on these. The other are the excessive detail of the report that do not justify the pay ($20 - $25) per shop and the odd rating given by the editors.
I've always scored between 8 and 10 on the shops. However, their need to insert snarky comments about leaving out some minutiae of a detail of the employee is over the top.
In short, I can do a gs shop or a famous bath or baby shop in half the time (report included) for better pay and less hassle.
When I would do the old Roundy's or Mariano's shops for the other MSC, I was paid in 2 weeks, the pay was more commensurate with the report and they were often nicely bonused.
Of course, if they bonus them appropriately, i'll reconsider!
