Hotel Shop Question

So I'm in a place, doing a hotel shop. I need to be in the same place tomorrow night. I happen to know that this is the 3* hotel Priceline has for this area. They have an Express Deal for $52 for tomorrow night. It's normally $149. Book it or not?

I assume you have to check out for your shop, right? You won't be able to just extend your stay and leave all your stuff in the room.
Correct. I think what I'll do is hold off until tomorrow and book it after I check out. That should work right?

It would work to book it before checking out, but if someone at the desk was observant they might see you are the same person and offer to merge the stays. "No, I'd like to check out, then come back…" Awkward! If the folio is not closed properly you could risk your reimbursement.
You could risk not just your reimbursement, but also your ability to shop for that client in future if the folio is not properly closed out.

I agree. Just have a backstory ready in case you run into the same desk clerk when you check back in, i.e. business trip and I need to stay an extra day with a client, etc.

Obviously. I promise I am nowhere near as stupid as you appear to think I am, which seems practically moronic at times.

Update, I checked out and went to lunch and to do some sightseeing. While at lunch I used Priceline and did indeed get the same hotel. Checked back in around 4pm and luckily got a desk clerk I had not seen before.

bgriffin,
I apologize if my post was offensive. Sometimes posts are made in the interest of insuring that less well informed readers understand the issues. I did not think that you did not understand the ramifications, and should have made that clear in my post.
