Maritz sent me six emails this morning with pre-arranged routes for the
(client) NIGHT shops this quarter. They also dangled the carrot that shoppers who selected the routes would receive advance notice of the release of the corresponding DAY shops some two weeks later.
Requirements remain the same that the shops must be completed during hours of darkness or the shop will be rejected, multiple rejections may result in your inability to self-assign and all shops must be debriefed within 12 hours.
With DST still in effect until November, the requirement that the shops be started NET 1 hour after sunset makes for some very small shopping windows for those of us who do not live in densely populated areas or near major highways. Most of the stations in my area close around 10/11 on weekdays and midnight on weekends and the sun does not set until after 8 pm on September 2nd (the first day you can shop) and around 7:25 pm on September 30. This makes for a very small shopping window.
And their strict adherence to debriefing shops within 12 hours (they flag shops at 13 hours) makes doing long routes unpopular, uneconomical and unhealthy. The only thing I want to do after a grueling road trip (long mileage/long hours) is sleep--not debrief shops with already bloodshot eyes.
Mod note: Please do not include both the client name and the MSC. This is a violation of Forum rules and probably a violation of your ICA as well. Thanks.
