I haven’t posted for a while, but I am always stocking the forum! My Engine blew up so now I am limited to what shops I can take. And did you see the funeral shops are now down to $4.00? WHAT????
So I never take reimbursement only shops unless it benefits my family. I did agree to a children’s pizza place and had only done one other shop for this company before. I actually enjoyed the report before and this time was no different.
Believe It or not, I have NEVER been to this popular kid’s pizza place! I jumped at the chance because I wanted to do something fun with my boys. We had a great time and I enjoyed it as much as they did!
I just wished this company offered more than reimbursement shops, I would work for them every day of the week!
On the engine front, a friend stepped up and is actually paying to have a new engine put in!!! Her words “you need a car and you will not go without, those boys need it!” Ok, it is from a salvage yard but it only has 1100 miles on it. And another friend is doing the labor for free.
I took everyone’s suggestion and applied and got food stamps and child care. As well I am in the process of applying for SSI for my boys. I also found out that if I take a high level of classes because of the boy’s needs, they will raise the adoption subsidy! Unfortunately I recently learned I have arthritis in my neck and back. Manageable with care like STOP lifting and carrying around my 3 yr. old!
So life remains on the proverbial roller coaster. I want to thank everyone for their suggestions and wanted you to know that I did listen and have taken action!
Once I have my car back, I will get back to modified shopping. We not only have cub scouts but have now added wrestling to the schedule for the 7 yr. old.
A grandma’s work is NEVER done!
Happy shopping!
