Rushing to submit a report!

I had a shop on Monday evening, an hour away. I rush home do stuff around the house and diligently work on my two hour report that has to be turned in 12 hours. Of course, I can do it. However, here it is Friday and I still have no results on the shop.

Just venting

That's frustrating. Maybe there were a lot of other shops for different areas and they haven't got to yours yet.

I hate shops that are due in 12 hrs, more so the ones that require multiple narratives. I did LEGO the other day and I never know when the MSC reviews the report. I just know when I get paid heh.

Take a breather and keep in mind to keep in contact with your scheduler when deadlines are near and let them know the situation. Most are accommodating as long as you completed the assignment correctly and turn it in in a reasonable time frame.

Fortunately, this MSC actually lists their score and gives feedback on reports... Check back in your "Completed" assignments list in a couple of days and you'll eventually see a score and feedback on it.

Dixiewhiskey,

I did a LEGO and never was notified of my results but found it when I checked my completed shops like Tarantado said.

The LEGO MSC is the only MSC that consistently does not give me a perfect score. All the comments say my reports are excellent, detailed, blah, blah, blah. I have never gotten a '5'.

Thank you for the tip!! I managed to get them done but I was up until 2AM doing them in order to meet the deadline. I had shopped during the day and worked in the eve so it was brutal to say the least. I'm calm about it though, it's over now. This MSC had very strict guidelines this time around.. There was no reschedule dates at all and shop + receipt was due in 12 hours or it would be rejected. They already sent an email at midnight reminding me to submit it when the 12 hr wasn't close to being due yet. I'd rather not test it with that company especially since it was a reimbursement only shop. smiling smiley

Maybe it is something you are not noticing.. Sounds like they don't like giving out 5's period!

ETA: I checked my completed assignments with them and the ones last year were all 4's.. The ones I did half awake recently receive 5's.

Be patient. I've waited 2 weeks at times for a status to show complete. Check their site to see their requirements for shoppers to watch for issues. What l learned is once that period expires then your in the clear.

I almost always ask for report extensions before accepting a shop, even if I don't use it. I type much faster and more coherently on a fresh mind. I'm no good to them drained and they know that.

I take great notes, and report extensions have never been a problem. The few times I was told "No, we really need this in by midnight tonight, so can you please try to get it started by then" were when I'd taken the shop on the day it was due. Other than that, no issues ever.

I highly recommend it. Shoppers need sleep too.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
Many shops are due in "12 hours or by midnight, whichever is sooner." They don't know what time you did the shop to know when the 12 hours is up but they do know when midnight is.

If you know you will have a conflict, try to ask in advance if you can have till "noon the next day." If you're a reliable shopper with a history with the company, most will give you more time.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
