Trendsoure - advice, PLEASE! (Reported wrong location!)

I had a FULL day of shopping yesterday. Stopped for lunch at my favorite roast beef sandwich place for Trendsource. I got home late and with eyes half opened, filled out my report for them, knowing their reports have to be in by midnight. I have two of these shops for them and I accidentally filled out the report for the wrong location. I am going to do the other shop tomorrow. Their hours state M - F and I have no idea if their editors work on weekends that I could contact. The other report will be due by tomorrow night. WHAT should I do??? 1) fill out the second report correctly again 2) leave the second one alone and call them Monday??? I have never screwed up like this before and not sure how to handle. I wish they didn't require reports be in by midnight or I would be filling it in correctly this morning after a good night's sleep!! APPRECIATE any HELPFUL feedback.

Try to call, try to email... fill out the second shop correctly... That way if the other gets rejected you still have one good one on the board.

Good luck..

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!

Yikes. I did that once, but with a different company. (It was Maritz.) It was slightly different, because mine were both due on the same day. I went ahead and filled out the second report correctly, and phoned them the next day, explaining what had happened. They were very nice about it, and cleared the first report, so I could enter it with the correct shop.

So, I'd recommend that you enter today's shop on the correct report form. That way, one shop of the two has been done right.

Then, you do your best to get in touch with them, phone, e-mail--don't they have an automated report system, to report problems? If you get in touch with them, I assume that they can clear out the report, so that you can enter tomorrow's report on time. If you can't get in touch with them over the weekend, I think the best thing to do would be to go ahead and do the other shop. You won't be able to enter it on time, so take thorough notes, so you feel confident that you'll be able to supply all the information, without relying on your memory. You're going to hope that they clear out the report and let you submit it late. If they don't let you, well, you paid for your own sandwich, you know it was your own mistake, and, by golly, you'll never make that mistake again! But, you'll have done your best to redeem the situation.

An afterthought. There are two reasons for going ahead and filling out the first shop on the correct report form. One is, that you'll have gotten one of them right, no matter what happens. The other is, that, this way, they'll both look right, until a human takes a look at them, and you won't run the risk of having some automated system cancel the first shop on you.
TrendSource, like Maritz, is a very reasonable company. They typically don't work on the weekend, so I would do what Kathee and Ishmael suggested and, in addition, send a mea culpa email, using the "Contact Us" link, which is in "Support". It allows you to identify the specific shop you are emailing about.

I would not worry.

I would call and see what they advise. I have done this for a lunch and dinner FF shop with Marketforce, and didn't realize until I was entering my dinner shop. I called and was told to enter the second shop incorrectly and that they would just transpose the data between the two. I did as told, never heard back, got paid.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
I mixed up two credit union shops once -- I loaded the "right" shop on both report forms, then they had to wipe out the wrong one so I could enter it. It happens. At least you have let them know you did both shops. They are usually very responsive to those "contact us" messages; likely you'll have an answer first thing in the morning Monday.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
You have gotten some great advice, Trendsource is one of the most reasonable MSC's to work for imo. They are very understanding if you just explain what happened they will more likely than not help you fix it. Just contact support on your webpage and explain what happened and they will contact you probably on Monday. They are very good at getting back to you.

sun&fun, FYI, I think you're in FL and TrendSource is in California. I think they open at 7:00AM PDT, so I wouldn't expect to hear from them until some time Monday afternoon, EDT.

You can always call them too, and they actually answer your calls lol!

I agree, Trendsource is awesome! I shopped the wrong location, gave the employee their $10 "reward" out of my pocket and Trendsource said that while I would not be paid for shopping the wrong location, they would reimburse me the $10. I was shocked as it was totally my own fault.
when you enter todays report in the trendsource comments
ask the editor to give you back the other report and tell them
it got entered on wrong screen. Their editors work weekends
usually and will see it and should give it back to you

Good suggestion, techman. I know some of the editors edit Sunday evenings.
