The Only Downside of Doing Car Shops....

Is dealing with the persistant salespersons afterwards :-)

I test drove a Honda Accord three weeks ago, and guess I was a little entheusiastic about it. I will be in the market in the next couple of years, and I'll probably be downsizing from a SUV (Honda CR-V) to a sedan. I just got off the phone with the salesperson, who offered me 0% financing if I came in and bought this weekend.

Google voice is your friend. I never answer it, and never respond to the voice mails. When it gets too annoying I'll answer it once and tell them I either changed my mind (if they were nice) or that I bought from a competitor (if they were rude or pushy during the shop).

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I did one car shop about 10 days ago and by the time I got home I already had 5 voicemails on my phone. I really need to pick up next time they call and tell them that I bought a competitor's car and could they please stop harassing me. I tried google voice but could not get it to work.

dspeakes, that's a good idea! I have a Google voice number that I used to use for texting (long story), but I can never remember it. Maybe it's time to commit it to memory :-)

KathyG, what company did you do the shop for? I've been looking for Honda shops in my area (Oklahoma) but I don't know where to go.
I answered that question on the other thread where you posted. Here is the link for you.

After I had completed one car shop, the sales rep waited for at least 3 days, then the calls started coming. I finally told him that my husband had a heart attack so I am not considering buying a new car right now. That shut him up for awhile. I got one last phone call from him and he left a message just to say he hoped my husband was better. I guess he has to make a living and thought he would try to keep in touch!!!
