Stick with the burger!

I did a 5g shop (seriously I signed up for a bunch of these...regretting it!) and to change it up I opted for a hot dog today...OMG SO SALTY! I think I will be sticking with the burgers going forward.

Has anyone else done the hot dog? Am I doing it wrong?

I like the hot dog much better than the burger! Then again, I like my burgers medium rare.
I usually get a cheeseburger bowl with extra lettuce and tomato. I did a regular dinner shop tonight and it felt strange. I've been enjoying the online shops where I can take the meal and leave.
There haven't been many online or call in shops lately. I haven't seen one in a while. All mine have been order and dine in, sometimes its good, sometimes its not.

I definitely had to redeem tonight and get a burger with a bun to get that horrible hot dog out of my head...then they messed up my toppings so then my fries weren't as fresh the rest of the meal...BOOO

The online shops will probably be gone as 5G has changed their policy with payment.
Because of credit card fraud you can't pay online or on the app, you have to pay when you get there. I think that defeats the purpose of the online shops, until they re-write the specs for the shop.
I've ordered the hot dog the last two times I've been there. I got burned out on the burgers. I didn't notice the hot dog being that salty and I liked it. The only toppings I got were ketchup and mustard.
I LOVE the hot dogs. The burgers are great, too, but if I want to be assured of staying under the reimbursement limit I always get the hot dog.
I love the hot dogs there, especially when I specify it as a grilled cheese hot dog! Simply amazing.

I'm a big fan of the Veggie Sandwich. Add some A1 and cheese...yum. Better than the burger to me.
Horrible hot dog experience!tongue sticking out smiley... I ordered one at the 5-Guys airport (first time ever) and NOT a shop. The hotdog was soooo burnt! Beyond what I could tolerate. Yuck..!!

I'm glad the online order app shop is gone for 5G. I did one and when I arrived, I was the only customer!

It seemed so silly to order and pay with the app and then walk in and go to the pickup area of an empty shop.

I have done the same shop where I had to phone it in, and once again, be the only customer in the store.

I had to ding this shop several times for some bad things like trash cans overflowing, so it would be a piece of cake for the manager to put my picture on the break room wall. I did wait extra long and allow other customers to come into the store before I left and went out of my way to not watch the kitchen and am considered a "regular" there.

I decided to stay away from this location for a while, but then I get this call from an accented person from the "925" area code asking me to go back. It seems dinner shops at this downtown area shop are hard to fill smiling smiley
I just did an online shop with the 5G app on Sunday - it was a good experience. I'm sorry to hear that they are going to end them - when will that happen?

I think they put your picture up regardless of a good or bad report....smiling smiley
It was usually a close call between grilled cheese (hard to butcher), BLT and the bacon cheese dog with BBQ sauce when I was working for that MSC. Nomnomnom.
I was on the road yesterday and got a call for a late night Five Guys shop on Black Friday. When she asked how much it would take for me to do it, I said $40. And now I need to stay away from the burgers as beef aggravates gout. Guess I'll try either the hot dog or the grilled cheese tomorrow night.

Really? I have done many 5g here in Pittsburgh. I get the burger and then get dogs for my spouse. Dogs are great - here at least.
I love doing the 5G shops. I love their baby cheese burger BUT I can only handle that kind of meal once a month. It's one of the 2 burger places I like to shop. The other one is FB but they don't come up as often as 5G.
