$$ And **NO** Narrative!! Where Have These Been All My Life

Ok so we complain about the bad, and question the unknown. It's time to gloat the unbelievable!

I can not believe it but I just completed a shop for $$ with NO, yes I said it, absolutely NO NARRATIVE! There were 42 yes/no/NA questions with one sentence explainations for the No's, of which there were few.

Again, WHERE HAVE THESE SHOPS BEEN ALL MY LIFE (one year of shopping).

This was a highly bonused specialy job, but I'm not complaining smiling smiley

So what about the rest of you, any other unbelievable shops out there?

Would you give out your favorite MSC/client/shop in a public forum for everyone to see? I wouldn't.
Absolutely! Today, it is a tossup though between TrendSource and their BVs and Second to None with their insurance shops.

And that's what makes the world go 'round; we're all different. smiling smiley

The real challenge though is to celebrate each other's differences. smiling smiley

It only works if you like golf, or can play like you do.

As for the MSC, it's Feedback Plus. I never mind sharing. I can't get to the one's in my town which is part of Dallas Metro, let alone all the ones in just North Dallas. And then there's the surrounding cities, Gainesville, Sherman and Greenville. They are begging for shoppers! Besides, the competition makes me a better shopper smiling smiley

I always found Gapbusters reports to be WAAAAY easier than I ever expected them to be considering the shops.

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
Coming from a father and having a Scottish surname, I am the rogue elephant. I think golf screws up a good walk.

Really, I do understand it's attraction and it allows one to focus on knocking the bedickens out of that little ball. No having to think of what I have to do next. I bird watch, hike, Tai Chi. I would play golf on washed up farm land like where the game was invented. But I'm too, "pinche" to spend that kind of money. I squeeze blood out of pennies.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

Mintel doesn't have narratives on their reports. It's mostly Yes/No with drop-down answers and maybe a short sentence. The pay is generous for such little work. But they only offer assignments once in a while.

For those like whosear who think that golfing/walking is for the birds, so do I. I can't imagine myself "rolling" around the golf course. Of course one of those clubs could substitute for the cane that I have to walk with!

Anyway, Top Golf is a new concept where it is hitting balls from a bay or outdoor suite. No walking around, no hot/cold weather as the suite is temperature controlled, and no getting hungry. The bay/suite has a wait staff that serve food and drinks. There's also a TV for each bay so that when we go on a Sunday afternoon, we can hit balls for the evercise while watching the football games and eating food to wash away the exercise we are doing. smiling smiley

Hi all!

I am the scheduler for this project. I wish they had one near me, it seems fun! Anyway if you are interested in signing up, please go to www.feedbackplus.com/shopper-pledge. We have two types of shops available. One pays $25 and is just an event inquiry (meaning you inquire about holding an event on site). There is no money out of pocket for that one. The other reimburses up to $145 in expenses and is the golf/dining experience. If you do both, we typically offer a $20 bonus!

Email me at kate@summitscheduling.com with any questions smiling smiley

Available Locations include:

Scottsdale, AZ
Alpharetta, GA
Wooddale, IL
Dallas, TX
Houston, TX
Austin, TX
The Colony, TX
Spring, TX

Last year I disliked the Second to None insurance shops as I could never get them to submit - It was like Dante's levels of hell to figure out how to correct whatever needed to be corrected. I just did one and they cleaned up the form and it went through much easier than it did last year and the pay ACTUALLY INCREASED by $5......I could get addicted to these insurance shops, yes I could.
@ golfaddict--There is a company out there that does a lot of golf shops. They still have them available for the warmer climate areas. The report is a little lengthy, but I felt the pay and reimbursement was fair. If you have gone through the list to sign up with all of the companies, and are at least 1/3 the way through, then you are signed up with them. They paid on time as well. They do require that you have played at least 3 times in the past year. Good Luck!
Any suggestions for a reliable company that offers golfing or golf resorts on the east coast?

Hey gm - I don't know if off hand but I do get special invitations every now and then. I'll keep you in mind and if one comes up, I'll shoot you a copy.
Also, you might shoot [kateschedules.blogspot.com] an email and ask her. Make sure you put "GOLF" in the subject line. Might be hard for right now if you're in the northeast, maybe easier if you are in the southeast. But here in Texas it is cold now 30-40 degrees. Since I really don't even play golf (lol), I would not be searching right now.

Mintel has financial shops with pretty extensive narratives on their reports. I have several long term assignments (5 months to a year) with no narratives.

~Polish Proverb~
I have found some with virtually no narrative and others with some which couldn't be considered extensive. Since they don't grade, offer feedback, minimum character counts or a sample narrative, could they be the same shops? Unless told otherwise my narratives on first shops tend to be rather concise. If reports are accepted and I get steady work from the company my assumption is the level of detail was sufficient.

Why do they need climate controlled golf centers in Texas grinning smiley. They need to open these further NORTH!!! I'd do these shops in a heartbeat...says the single digit handicapper Mystery Shopper grinning smiley.
They need climate controlled for two reasons. It can get cold in Texas, the 30's, and most Texans are not used to cold weather. So with heaters, Texans can continute to cold weather. In the summer, the temperature can get as high as 107 degrees and Texans are accustomed to their AC. I know they are moving north into Kasas with the opening of one in Overland Park. I think they plan to expand even further. Mention it to them! Google them and tell them that you want one in your location. Who knows, you could make the list!

PS - I'm not a real golfer and I don't know what a single digit handicap is.

This golf project sounds interesting....I don't hit the links so to speak but I do like mini (putt putt) golfing....there are a ton of those out there but I've only seen one company that does a select few (and not near the Chicagoland area sad smiley)

I am working on a longer-term Mintel project that does not take a lot of time but its a few bucks here and there and making sure I keep track of certain bills and so on.
