Apt's...how many phone calls is enough?

I was scheduled to do an Apt., with a Target. I called for a week only to get a recording, on the last call, I get a callback from another Broker who tells me, my target is out of town for the week. I again start the calls yesterday, to get recordings (I have to hang up). You cannot speak to anyone else, the target has to answer. How many calls is enough? Thi is getting annoying, and seems impossible to reach this target....anyone else dealing with this problem.

Unfortunately this seems to be standard operating procedure on the target apartment shops. While you may on occasion luck out and everything goes smoothly, more often it seems they have gotten wise to the inquiries and duck you. It is a long enough standing problem that I won't do these shops. Plus if you manage to talk with the associate and set up an appointment, they will not be there at the appointed time more than likely. I'm just not into spinning my wheels on a no-win shop.
I finally quit doing these shops not only because of the target fiasco, but the online reports just were not worth the pay. I do video shopping now and everything, with the exception of a very few questions, is all on tape and saves me a lot of time.
Thanks you guys....I had only done one for a home development, with no problem...this is a nightmare. I give it today, and if she doesn't answer, will call scheduler, and bow out, one full week is enough.

I do lots of shops for apartments and houses, some target, others are for anyone. Recently, target shops are paying $5 to $10 more with some MSPs, and more frequently the shops are for anyone. It's easy to see why these changes are occurring. Most times, I'm provided a schedule for the target though.

I would be calling the scheduler after a week. And, if it's not offered, I'd ask for a closed location fee.
Mert, I just got through, the target answered, and I have an Appt., for tomorrow at 11:00. She was very knowledgeable, and the call was recorded...so, it's on, the rest is easy, and it's 3 miles from my house (why I took it in the first place). This one pays $25.00, which is decent in my book.
