McDonald's bulk powdered coffee creamer - Yuck!

There is a McDonald's owner near me that found a way to make the coffee undrinkable.

They ask how many creamers and sugars you want and then they have a sugar and powdered non dairy creamer dispenser attached to the wall. It is clear with round cylinders to hold the powdered creamer and sugar. There are big light green rectangular mechanical buttons that dispense the powder.

Under the counter I saw a 10 pound sack of Dixie branded sugar. They are using this for all orders not providing a stirrer or packets or creamers.

I asked to have them place the sugar and cream on the side and they did provide me with the McDonald's branded sugar and creamer.

Is this common? I have seen two locations with this dispenser and after I choked on the coffee from the first one, I make sure to ask for the cream and sugar on the side.

I would think using non-McDonald's supplied anything would be a violation of the franchise agreement.

I explained it in my 300 words or less as they shorted me on the creamers on my last shop.

I have a feeling they are going to ask for more information on this shop.

It could be possible that McDonalds is testing something new. A powdered creamer would have an almost unlimited shelf life as opposed to a creamer that needed to be refrigerated. I would think that if the location was trying to get around the rules, it would only last until the first visit by a District Manager.

This location is in a very poor neighborhood. They have attached a small sign with a price list for extra dipping sauces, syrup, and other condiments to the menu board on a small 6 x 6 sign.

They don't have a condiment station with salt or pepper even.

I didn't report the condiment price sign as it's not asked about. This was also a first for me to see.

I figured there would be enough drama with the sugar and powdered creamer and 300 words didn't leave room to report that. They also had a local phone number for complaints.

I will not be in the 98% no problem found reason for deactivation list around here.
The condiment price signs are in all the drive thru windows of the McDonald's around here. Not sure about inside as I never go inside. They detail exactly how many dipping sauces you get for so many chicken nuggets, how much extra condiments cost, etc.
I see condiment signs most places now. On a non shop I notice Wendys went from the big plastic catsup to the single ones again.
McDonald's is using the powdered creamers here too. I think it's a cost containment effort. I drink my coffee black, but I've seen some patrons bringing their own sweetener and creamer packets from other fast food restos. Guess that says a lot!
If this is officially sanctioned, then you want to tell them that you'll add your own sugar and cream.

They still have the real creamers and sugar packets if you know to request your cream and sugar on the side.

Otherwise, you get the powdered fake stuff and it is horrible. The creamers are the only thing that make the coffee bearable for me.
mcdonald's sales keep tanking and they cant figure out why.
