Reports....

I have a question...Are any of you nervous before you hit send on your report? I find myself reading it over and over to make sure that it has hit all points and I guess I'm looking for tips to just let me hit 'send' without stress!

I used to be. Not so much any more. I proofread, make sure all questions were answered, send it on its way, knowing that if I screwed anything up I'll be hearing about it.

I think i've been asked for clarification two or three times in 600 shops so I don't stress about it any more.

Time to build a bigger bridge.

If you have a final summary page, you can look it over carefully, before hitting send smiling smiley

Just do a slow back check before submitting. A thorough back check should typically catch any major red flags.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!

Thanks for the input you all, I also find that printing it out to read it before I send it helps I make sure that I have fresh eyes though they can work miracles for me.

Even then I still am an little nervous. I'm looking for ways to let it go (oh goodness why did I say that, now Frozen is in my head)

Im the same way. Im a newbie and I go over my reports a good 3 times before hitting send. Mainly because I got an 8/10 on my very first report because of MINOR grammar issues.

Hi there, I know how you feel, I don't like getting less than a 10 but if I get a 9 I'm okay about it I just look at the feedback so that I can improve. I don't expect to get a 10 every time but I want to do a good job so that I can get more shops.

I always do at least a quick run through the summary or shop log before submitting. I also check to make sure the receipt time falls within the shop window before submitting my report, as register time clocks are frequently inaccurate in my area and that's been the most frequent reason for an editor to contact me in the past. If I've written a narrative of any sort, I give it a quick skim in most cases, although I will read it out loud when writing for certain MSCs or clients. I make sure my narratives match up with the "no" answers, too.

The whole process takes a minute or two and allows me to submit without stress most of the time.

Thanks for the tips, I tend to over think things sometime. It's not supposed to be a novel right lol!
