2015 Mileage rate change

I looked but did not see anything, for those that manually track your mileage, the 2015 rate is now $.575 so you just got a "raise" LOL.

If gas remains low the IRS will adjust it to a lower rate sometime during the year. I'm surprised they haven't already made an announcement.

IIRC, the IRS usually makes adjustments in July.

Or it could be they know something that we don't. In that case, enjoy the low prices while they last.

Don't worry, if prices stay low the government will increase the gas tax and spend it on something other than roads and bridges. Maybe something real important like shrimp on a treadmill.

WOW, 0.575 is a great deal! But then again, I paid $90 just for an alignment the other day because of all of these crappy roads.

And just this morning, LIJake, they were discussing just that - an additional gas tax.

Our "good" friend, Nancy Pelosi, wants it. Seems to me that if Congress needed more money they might start with cutting the perks that Congress has voted in for themselves over the years. The lifetime medical benefit is the one that really sticks in my craw!

They will have to figure out how to tax the electric cars.

Speaking of, has anyone ever seen or done a shop for an alignment? I'll need one soon and it wouldn't hurt to find a shop

Circle of Service sometimes has shops where you can have different repairs done. I did one for an alignment some time ago. It's the new year though so don't know if they still have the same contract. I am looking to have an oil change done and have been watching Circle.
