Not sure if I should report this...

I did a phone store shop yesterday. The store was great and the associate was great. I can give them high scores for everything except for the associate's breath. I was across the counter and had to keep backing away it was so horrible. I have never experienced this before and don't know if I should report it or not. It happened and it was an issue, but there is no question for it. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

If there is a place to report if the associate was well groomed I would....or any place to leave general comments
I would note it too if there's a place to do that. The client needs to know what their customers are experiencing.
When I need to report something and there is not a section on the survey to report it, I email the scheduler. They always tell me they will include it in the report or give it to the editor. smiling smiley
Personally I thought it was prevalent in wireless shops. Once I popped a mint in my mouth and offered one to the staff. He was very grateful. But I never, ever mentioned the bad breath in any report. I was tempted to actually send an email to the MSC suggesting that they provide some mints to their staff. If you are required to be there at least 15 minutes and someone speaks to you that long, how can you manage? Well, my sense of smell is the strongest of my senses. It was not the staff's fault. winking smiley
I did a car shop once where the salesperson's cologne was so heavy and noxious that I had to cut the test drive short-- I had tears running down my face and couldn't see. I went straight from the shop to the drugstore and then waited an hour for the allergy meds to kick in.

You can bet your bibby I reported that. Had I been there as a civilian I would have walked away and bought from another dealership.
Reminds me of the guy that had a terrible case of halitosis. He struggled with his bad breath for years and spent Thousands of Dollars trying to cure it. He finally succeeded, only to find out that nobody liked him anyway.

Jen, good for you. Lots of people are either allergic or highly sensitive to to colognes these days. It didn't develop for me until I was in my late twenties. Certain perfumes can cause both the eye watering and an immediate splitting headache. It can easily take an hour or two of fresh air for the headache to subside.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.

I get that also and with cigarettes. Lur company doesn't allow eating or smoking in the vehicles, but every once in a while you get one that is heavy with smoke. I got one vehicle one day that was so bad I parked it and called mobile to fill the tank. They got upsegt about having to drive it because it smelled so bad. They even had it detailed and bombed to get rid of the smell and bugs. I sat in my car for the rest of the shift but still develoved a rash from being in the car for 20 minutes.
As a dedicated mystery shopper, bad hygiene doesn't bother me. My breath smells like a combination of Big Mac sauce, stale Doritos, and convenience store hotdogs, and my hands stink like gasoline. My shirts are stained from greasy fries and I keep spilling globs of ketchup on my pants.

That's disappointing to hear....I pictured you as still being in your late twenties.

I would mention it to the scheduler.

Was it just that he needed to floss?

Maybe it's a health issue and he can't do anything about it.
I did a bank shop and the CSR must have just had a cigarette in her car. She stunk so bad I didn't want to stay there.

I went back months later, same CSR, same smell. Also their ATM area smelt like cigarettes. I did report both this time.
I wonder if the employee got the report in time time for Valentine's Day.
