Telephone shopping for the homebound?

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
My husband is homebound due to an injury sustained at work and so he wants to work from home. I found this forum and read about phone shops, where you make phone calls and then fill out a report. So he joined some of the companies that others said do phone shops. But there were no phone shops listed like he expected. Is there a list of companies that have phone shops available? I can't seem to find enough information about this sort of thing.
Thank you for any assistance.

I don't know of any companies specializing in phone shops. Assuming he just registered this week any available shops have probably been filled for the month. Make sure he's set up to received email notifications and keeps checking this week for them to post March shops. I've seen phone shops from Bestmark, Bare, Beyond Hello, Measure, Training Factor, Shoppers View and Shoppers Critique among others.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
He should also sign on with TrendSource. One thing he needs to check is that companies often require one to get certified for certain shops. He should be sure to check that, especially with TrendSource.
Your husband may have to sign-up with many companies to get a decent amount of phone work. I can add more companies to list LisaSTL gave you: Market Force, Amusement Advantage, Coyle, Customer Service Experts, Measure CP, and Intellishop.

Does he speak Spanish?

Hahaha! I just found out that the majority of those funeral home phone shops are not Spanish. The non-Spanish ones apparently don't merit/require entertaining emails from the scheduler. smiling smiley

They must be a perfect fit for some people's needs then. They add up and I say hurrah!

While they might not pay much, for the homebound they are especially ideal. An injury once kept me home for three months. I didn't need the money since everything was covered, but I sure went stir crazy. Something like phone shops would have helped add some variety to my day and given me some running around money for the time when I could run around againsmiling smiley

There is always wine buying money.

I used to do phone shops for telexpertise. They are exclusively phone shops.

I hope after all the great tips above you're able to find a bounty of phone shops.

A word of advice: Don't be discouraged when you first start. Some of the phone shops are easy from the get-go (payday loan inquiry shops come to mind), others are more complex (e.g.,funeral home shops) with a long script that seems daunting . . but after you've done one or two, they're quite easy and don't take too long.

I think it's a great idea for something to do while you're housebound. Hey, it's time that would otherwise be wasted, so if you can pick up some dollars every day making phone calls, why not? Win-win -- kill the boredom, get some $$'s. :-)

Good luck to you!
Depending on your state informars has bank phone shops at $25 a pop. You are allowed 4 per month.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I love phone shops so much. I think they are easy and fun (even the funeral home ones!). I like that I get to portray a character but I'm not as nervous since I'm on the phone. It's also easy to do while my little one is napping.
Adding to this list while it's still open.

Baird offers phone shops for $8 each -- easy calls, not recorded and very reasonable report with 2 essay questions. Excellent reviewer and scheduler support and response with issues/edits/problems. Only thing is they are not a huge company and are somewhat regional (They are based in Wisconsin).

Where are we going... and why are we in a hand basket?
There might not be a lot of shops right now since it is end of the month. Sign up now for companies and you should start getting some emails for shops in May. They do not pay a lot but it is something to keep your mind occupied while recovering. Bestmark had a lot of phone shops at that time while I was recovering at home. Good luck and keep your spirits up - there are ways to make money - just don't get discouraged at first.
