I've noticed that the schedulers get access to the better shops, in the best locations and take them for themselves. The paltry shops are then distributed to the shoppers.

I think I want to become a scheduler for more reasons than one. The shopper life is ok but I think the scheduler life is better.

The grass is always greener!
There are 200+ companies listed below that you can apply to.

Many of them read this forum and will quickly figure out who you are.

Good luck.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
LOL you have only proved that you are insane by considering it. KSSEmma wrote a really funny post many years ago on V about the life of a scheduler.
I've been curious if life as a scheduler is better / pays better than life as a shopper. I'm taking it that it is NOT, based on these responses?

Am I supposed to be scared because I want to become a scheduler??

Scared? No. Just pointing out that they can see your rants and will know what a hothead you are.

Yohan and Socalmama....oh boy! I have to find that thread and read some of it.

If editing or scheduling paid nearly as well as my shopping, I'd still be doing it.

Just toggle while you read
And cheerfully together we can tidy up the place
So write a positive post
It won't take long when there's a toggle button to help set the pace

Oh ya, don't feel the troll. Remember Jacob's post from the Meta.

"The shopper life is ok but I think the scheduler life is better."

hahaha if you say so

I know schedulers who love their jobs. They still say it is much more stressful and lower paying than shopping. A company advertised for one right before the new year. Starting pay $8/hr going up to $10/hr after three months. It was only 30 hours a week.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Hmm the original post didn't even ask a question, it was more like it was letting off steam of some kind. A thread with no clear purpose. I'm still laughing about the "life" statement but I find all kinds of odd things funny. I do not think or care if this person is a troll but I can see why some folks thought so. Maybe they could elaborate further.

Y'all do realize whyuwannaknow is yet another incarnation of aggiejimbryancarthagefranktruth....

There are reasons that a body stays in motion
At the moment only demons come to mind
I doubt I would ever become a scheduler. An editor, maybe, if the right MSC with the pay rate came along. But not a scheduler.
No thanks. Scheduling is not for me. And no offense OP, but I've seen your posts and would prefer if you weren't my scheduler.

Hence, a troll. A good number of the OP's posts have been removed by Jacob or a moderator. People who are reading this thread and other posts from the OP, can't see all of the original posts.
I think someone whose only response to not being told what she wants to hear is to start calling people names such that the posts have to be deleted by a moderator qualifies as a bridge-dweller.

From 2003:

Go out into your garage and find all the unsafe power tools you can. First try hitting each of your fingers multiple times with a hammer. Then make sure to operate all of your electronic gadgets. Be sure not to follow ANY of the posted safety warnings. Make sure to have your feet submerged in an ice chest filled with water while doing this. If you survive with all fingers and limbs in place, enjoy the pain of electrocution, AND you have an extra 60-80 hours per week with NOTHING to do, please email us at KSS. We are always looking for a few good recruits.
I always thought being a scheduler would be like being an air traffic controller except all the pilots were Leslie Nielsen in Airplane.

Except Maritz. All of their schedulers are like my grandma using WebTV and a handwritten ledger to schedule all their shops.
