Scheduling Companies

I have been mystery shopping for 3 months now.

I have a silly question..

Why are there companies that schedule for other companies? For instance I did a shop for Service Sluth however KSS scheduled it. Why wouldn't Service Sluth have a perspon schedule it? Are there companies like KSS that JUST schedule shops? Why? Seems like additional people involved (middle me) would not be of benefit?

There are quite a few companies that only schedule. Some MSPs just prefer not to use their own schedulers for a variety of reasons. This could include the fact that their scheduling needs are limited and would not be able to keep schedulers busy year round, also scheduling companies often have larger resources of shoppers and can more easily fill the shops.

And some companies use both in house schedulers and independent scheduling companies. I can think of a few companies that have their own schedulers for all their traditional shops while using another company for their video shops.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
Also to handle overflow. Let's say a company has enough shops to keep 4 schedulers busy, then adds a client that would add the need for half a scheduler. It's more economic to use an outside company to schedule that one client and pay a bit more than it would be to hire another scheduler that would then only be busy half the time.

I agree with the OP, particularly in the example given. I find it very confusing.....
Bottom line- if it's cheaper to outsource, they'll outsource.

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
lots of businesses outsource various functions. Main reason being they
cant do it cheaper in house because it's not their area of expertise.

Outsourcing also not add to headcount, benefits nor insurance costs. It's a win for the MSC's, possible venture capitalists and investors.
Some MSCs outsource editing as well to third party editors.
