Taxes and Supplying Backup

Do you provide a worksheet depicting your fees, reimbursements, expenditures and expenses to the IRS along with your return? I have never but was wondering if I should attach my spreadsheet this year.

No. I supply the spreadsheet to my tax preparer and she completes the information. The spreadsheet can be useful should you be audited, along with your receipts, etc.

The IRS only wants totals on the return. If you get audited, then you will show them how you arrived at those totals and produce the receipts and records backing them up.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
no--you don't send the worksheets...you keep them for your records.....it tells you what forms to attach...
