New Shop and Audit from MFI

Has anybody seen the guidelines and questionnaire yet? All I have seen are the screening questions.
They look much the same as when they just called it an “Audit”. The biggest difference is reimbursement for gas. I suppose this is part of the “Shop” aspect for the new program.

Are they worth anything approaching the current rate? Around here the most compliant ones have already been snatched up.

If you have seen the details, won't you compare/contrast with last year’s audits?

I have a few of these but have not looked at the instructions yet. I can let you know tomorrow! There are a ton sitting on the boards right now so not sure if they are PITA or not.
I've done a few of them, and they're easy if you have experience being sneaky. There is a minimal fuel purchase.

That's strange, my area doesn't start this new program until the first of April. How long ago did your area start doing these?

The fees are still low, and I hadn't realized they have changed them for April. Sorry.

The gas reimbursement has stayed the same in this area.

...hadn't ever thought of taking a gas audit based on compliancy!

I had not thought of that either.

I was just thinking that I would take one close to me that has always come out well would be a good way to try out the new program. But, they were taken at base rate by someone else.

I thought about what they have in common. Three of them have been neat as a pin that last few times I did them, passing with flying colors, in fact. Another one just had a remodel completed in January. It had always been compliant as well.

But, it is funny that the ones with rusty canopies or broken main signs are still on the board and still in disrepair.

I've done the "mystery shop only" for these last month. It required the usual gas plus store purchases, and outdoor, store, and bathroom inspections. I'm wondering what is added when it is a mystery shop & audit combined. What gets audited?
Does this become a 1 hour shop or more?
I did ONE of these and now, if I see mystery shop/audit, I run, run, run! Took forever, I was treated like the enemy.
The new loyalty audit with the 17 digit# to be entered and requirement of 4 separate purchases, two of which you have to actually leave at the location and a very low fee is really not worth it. You do get reimbursed for the purchases up to a certain amount, but for everything involved this is very little, so unless the location is literally within 15 to 20 minutes it's a lot more work than it's worth, unless you happen to get a site inspection for the same location at the same time and if you get blessed enough to be able to get the other small audit at the same time then it would be worth it. I don't however see the company allowing all three be done at one time. They do allow the small one and the larger one to be done together, I love doing that because the small one takes 3 minutes if that. It doesn't pay it a lot of money but when you've got the other one to couple with it, then you're just getting extra money.

I had one near where I live now where the cashier kept chewing on me because auditors kept showing up monthly. The last one I did early last year, I just carried on without him and didn't hand out the certificate. Why? He wasn't going to earn it, anyway!

I think part of that store's reason for being audited was because they did not get rid of the paint job specific to the brand. I told them as much. "You want us to stop coming...DO IT RIGHT!"
