My favorite assignment so far. What's yours?

Guidelines were only one page long. Site was only two miles away. I had to answer 12 questions and take one photo all on my cellphone while at the site. Submit, come home, submit the date and done! Easy Peasy!!!

Haircut at a salon. The reimbursement was as high as fine dining, and the report was easy.
For me it's a toss up between a resort in Orlando and one of the Presto 1000 cups of coffee shops.

There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
A boutique upscale clothing store with VERY high reimbursement. I get it about ever 6 months. Super easy because the people there are awesome at what they do and there's nothing easier than writing a glowing report.

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
I'm a small time shopper, no high end reimbursements or anything. That being said, my favorite shop is parking at the very tiny local airport. I park the car and just chill out for 40 mins reading a book, eating lunch, etc. Maybe doing a few phone shops if I'm feeling productive. Pay and leave. It's so relaxing.
My favorites are food-related. I'm all about those reimbursements. My VERY favorite might be Fogo de Chao. I like Cheesecake Factory a lot, although I would like it more if it covered my whole meal, LOL.
Can not wait to find out who shops Fogo de Chao.. Anyway, my favorites are the easy theater shop, Pandora and the massage I received last week.
I haven't seen Fogo on the board in like 9 months to a year.

My favorite was when I had to take one photo of a gas sign, one mile down the road, for $50. The msc had me do this 3 times in one week. $150 for taking 3 photos.
Favorite shop? All that pay...lol.

In all seriousness, video shops because most of them have less reporting to do.

.
Have PV-500 & willing to travel.

My favorite so far has been the $20.00 drive thru menu photos, no purchase, just upload photos.

A Dad shopping the Ark-LA-Tex and beyond.
A $300 higher education audio recorded shop that had to be done the day the scheduler called. Five hours work total.
OR
Every cinnamon sugar pretzel nugget shop, no matter how low the price, that I have ever done or will ever do.
Hrm, not sure I could pick a favorite, but here's a list of SOME of my favorites:

Cinnamon rolls - because they are yummy and the report is fairly easy and there's one near me that I can pick up at a bonus
Pretzels - see above, minus the bonus part, but the report takes less than 5 minutes and if I'm gonna be there anyway..
I did a series of super easy quick hit new home video shops earlier this year. The client basically wanted to know what contact information they were asking for from people who just stopped in for information and then checking follow up. Basically you walked through the model and that's about it. The homes were kind of high end and VERY nice, so I actually enjoyed walking through the models.
I did a video shop when I filmed a demonstration of a high end grill. I left wanting one. It was pretty cool and the guy did a great job of explaining how it worked. Was a fun shop because I learned something.
Probably my absolute FAVORITES ever though was a route of high end breakfast video shops. The food is ridiculously good and there was basically nothing to the shop other than going in and stuffing my face with fantastic food.

Last autumn I did a series of very high end hotel shops where I had a generous food and beverage allowance but the only F&B interaction that requied a report was a very short bar visit with no ordering restrictions. The client wanted info on other aspects of the stay, in detail, and let me spend my F&B funds as I liked, where I liked, when I liked, with no long reports! The required interactions were so easy since they were short and simple. I brought home a ton of excellent food, a rather handsome (free) tee shirt, and 10,000 rewards points!

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Favorites for me are a local hot dog chain and a local Mexican restaurant chain. Close third is Chipotle now that I am starting to really get "in the groove" with the reports.
1. Pretzel nuggets because its literally under 60 second encounter and 5 minute report, and I love pretzels.
2. Bonused gas station audits in nice weather.
3. Goodwill donation sites. Less than 30 second interaction and one page report and it gives me a great reason to clean my closets.
I love to get the pretzel shop when I travel. They pay me a bonus to do the airport and it gives me an excuse to eat a yummy sweet pretzel for breakfast.

I know, I had been looking forward to returning to this location. They had a one year rotation in the past.
10 minute call to a bank and 10 minute entry paid $50 easy as pie

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
What video equipment do you use? I need to get some and plan on starting to do video shops. Thanks patty
H&M. It's by far my favorite clothing store, has been for years, and it's one of the first shops I ever did. Also, though it's more work, hotel shops. It's like getting a dinner out, time with my family in an upscale setting, and room service- it's almost a mini-vacation.
Patty, most of the MSCs who do video require you to have a PV500. There are a few that will loan you equipment in the beginning so you can see if it's something you want to do before making a very large investment ($450-$700 depending on where you buy it and if you get an association discount such as with IMSC). I would definitely NOT buy any equipment without at the very least taking one of the training courses offered so that you can put your hands on the equipment and learn more about what is required. But failing that, going with borrowed equipment is the way to go at first.
My fav so far has been the drive thru chicken place that was 2 minutes from my home with a high bonus. All of the stars were aligned that day. I was sitting at home wondering what I was going to do for lunch. Got the call from a desperate scheduler and 10 minutes later I was eating a chicken lunch and had made an easy $30. Wish I could say that happens everyday but it does not.
Hmmm....my favorites for different reasons. Although it's easy money, the rare, super bonused $50 bank shops that are easy but don't shake my boots. I love all my fine dining steakhouse jobs the most. Then comes Pandora, high end boutiques (men and women's) with generous reimbursement. I would love to do an Aveda job but they are at a mall and usually scheduled for weekdays when I am far away at work. I enjoy the easy lunch jobs I'm able to pick up when time allows. I also LOVE CHIPOTLE!
My favorite have been Pandora because I really like the jewelry, and I have been a long time Pandora customer.

Also, an oil change shop because I really needed an oil change, and they did a fantastic job. If it were closer to my house, it would be my go-to oil change place. Alas, I was doing a route and it is an hour away.
I love all my restaurant shops, but love my cinema jobs too. It's great when I can schedule both for the same day, that's my night out sorted smiling smiley
I think my favorite one now is the hotel shop I just completed this weekend. Getting to relax at the pool and spa was well worth the report I had to write. And the reimbursed Cosmopolitan wasn't bad either winking smiley

Favorite assignments....hmm

When I first got started in the business, one company had a nice lure....take some big box electronic shops, and as a reward, one got to spend x-amount at another big box store (think red and white) and have to see if they offered their credit card....and get reimbursed for the merchandise.

Over the years I've had certain shops I've enjoyed doing...most of the restaurant shops have been relatively easy and its helped me discover new restaurants I've never been to.

In recent years, I've enjoyed the storage shops. I can get through those within 15 minutes and the survey isn't too hard to fill out.

Silver certified (since 2009) and willing to do shops all around the greater Chicago, NW Indiana, and Southern Wisconsin areas (including airports!.
