Which MSC Owes you money for 2009

I have two payments left: Freeman from November that a recent global update email indicates I should expect to see paid by Feb 15; Service with Style from December which will probably also be paid early February.

I'm not faring nearly as well as you, Flash.

I still have a Goodwin shop from November due, but that's not technically late for almost another month.

I have 10 remaining unpaid December shops. Restaurant Evaluators is the only one that's overdue by company policy, and I kind of expected that one to not come on time. So far, my request to them for payment earlier this week has gone unanswered.
So have my requests for several months, Steve. For me, I did the shop July 10th. I'm done asking. I'm done sending email. I got an answer from the RE scheduler, and the rest is like a black hole. I warned. Now I am going after my money. It is theft to accept a report that is reimbursement only and not reimburse the shopper.

mnarius, can expand a bit on how you are owed money from Bestmark?

Bestmark, though not one of my favorite companies, is actually noted for being relatively timely with their payments. I would expect anything from 2009 to be paid in full by now.

You also left another post 3 minutes before this about Peak Techniques not paying you, but didn't mention that here. What gives?
I also would expect that Bestmark has paid any 2009 shops. They have faults, but not paying on time is not one of them. Not paying enough, surely yes. But they pay like clockwork, and even track the whole process for you on their website, including the date the shopper cashed the check. Are you sure they accepted the shop?

I did shops for Bestmark they made some bogus reason as to not pay, they made threats to me so I had to have an attorney contact them about payment.

steve so cal what gives? is that how you respond
Well...at least that's starting to sound more like the Bestmark that I know.

Experience tells me that any attempt to extract money from them on a denied shop can be futile. Good luck to you and I hope your attorney gets paid on contingency.

the funny thing is that they did accept the shop but some bogus reason as to not pay what they promise. Then some vice president from the company thought that she could make threats to me. I am lucky that I got the lawyer for free
mnairus, it sounds like you may be in a good position to fight for payment.

My "What gives?" comment was in response to your initial one word post. The feedback here isn't really useful to anyone else unless we have some more information to help us understand your dilemma.

If you are just here to blow off some steam at a MSC that wronged you, I can respect that as well.
Would some one like to compile a list of the worst and best payers for 2009, if it is allowed.
Start it here, KB, its now a "sticky"...

Did you try payroll? I had a receipt not submitted and I had about two weeks to find it. It was in storage. The lady I talked to said after so long a time if it was not submitted they client would not pay for it.
ATH still owes me from 2008 so if you got paid, A blessing on your head. I intend next time that I am near Andover Ma, just dropping into the office and being unpleasant. (which for me is no work) At least I can wreck their day which is a feel good project for deadbeats.
Maritz still owes me for shops I did in early May...they did not respond to my emails either.
Still waiting for payment for November job from Freeman. No response to my emails as yet. Also waiting for payment and an adeqate response from Cirrus. I did three shops, one in August, October, December 09. They say they haven't received my invoices in one message, but then from someone else they say everything is there and they are being processed.
Can any one tell me of a good place to mystery shop online. I love taking surveys but whenever they ask for a fee it turns me off any one knows where I can go take all the surveys I want without a charge.
lissy901, This thread is "Which MSC Owes you money for 2009". Replies to your post may have been more quickly replied to under a thread about surveys.

I used the Search feature and typed in "surveys" - [www.mysteryshopforum.com] is a recent thread which may be helpful to you.
JC and Associates are the only ones that owe me money from September and October. They are trying not to pay using the old stand by, "never received your receipt", which doesn't surprise me. After being a loyal shopper since 2006 and never having an issue combined with the timing of them transitioning companies and many complaints over non and late payments with other shoppers, it only makes sense that I would neglect to send in not one, but two receipts. I can even offer scanned copies of my receipts. Just because they are having financial and obvious paperwork issues doesn't mean we should suffer from their incompetence. In all my years of mystery shopping, they are the only company to not pay me, so that really says something about them.
I'm still waiting to be paid for some substantial December shops I did with Service Sleuth. I know that some companies take "60-90" days to pay, but many of them seem to really mean "88-90"!

I find that Service Sleuth pays pretty much within the 60-90 day window. My December shops from them are not overdue yet, but they and Goodwin are all I have left from 2009 now.

I expect to see the Service Sleuth money first. I sent a note to Goodwin yesterday about payment and received a very polite, but vague, reply. It basically said that the projected date of my payment was "unknown".
Just received my pay from Service Slueth today and Goodwin came yesterday, so I can finally close the books on 2009. Whew!
Service Sleuths owes me money for a FF type audit I did in 2009. I normally would never do that type of shop - not sure why I accepted (four!) of them. Service Sleuth usually pays their big casino type shops quickly (relatively) and I have never had to chase payment - but apparently these shops come out of a different section and go slower... hmph. At least there was no outlay of money and I do trust that I will see it eventually.

Regal Hospitality owes me money from July 2009. I don't expect to see it - the amount is small though, but still... that makes a total of four companies that now have stiffed me (although I count myself lucky that all amounts were less than $50 each).
If you are the Mickey B I think you are from another forum :-) then you had a lot on the line with another company....and you were lucky to get that when you did.

I think SS pays relatively slowly (but per contract.) I have never accepted a shop from Regal. I almost did at the beginning of the month. Now, hearing this, I am glad I didn't/

Hey Dee - yes, I am the same Mickey B. smiling smiley
And yes, I did escape the OA and Associates debacle unscathed (but close)... my sympathies to those that did not.
My list of non-pays are PRG ($21), JC and Associates ($45), Regal ($25) and G3 for the oldies out there, I am sure y'all remember that mess ($11). And I started shopping in 1996... so I don't think this is too bad.
Hey Mickey, I thought that was you. I remember you fondly from the other site. I am hen we last spoke. That last one was totally scary for both of us, bout more for you than me. Welcome here. Make you self at home and settle in. It's a great place, here. :-)

I do 2-4 shops per month for Regal, laying out a fair amount of money. I have only once has a payment issue, when 60 days (promise) turned into 80 days (delivered). Otherwise, three years of on-tiime pay and reimbursements from them. BTW, when the late payment occured, my email was answered promptly and they paid when they said in the reply that they would.
