Your report has been declined because you are decesed

"Your report has been declined because you are deceased."

Sending that out was the highlight of my day yesterday.

Found a shopper with 4 profiles, all looked suspicious so I called the phone number on one. Was told the person was deceased and the person who answered was also one of the profiles, she knew nothing about any mystery shopping but when I mentioned the name of the main shopper I suspected I was told "she will be back later" LMAO!!! Busted!

OMG That is too funny! What purpose does it serve for them to have more than one account?
Probably so they can get around rotation requirements. Since cheaters are usually cheaters at everything else, their reports are probably just a copy and paste of each other as well.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
These were high paying exit interviews, they signed up to a bunch with fake profiles and then turned in fake interviews...until they were caught.
Ugh! It's no wonder the rest of us are sometimes treated like liars and thieves too. I'd like to meet that shopper so I could punch her in the boob!

Marketforce has anti fraud built right into the website.

If you have a friend over who is also a shopper for them and you check the job board and log out.
Do *NOT* allow your friend to log in on the same Internet account! (I.P. Address)

The website will flag you as having a duplicate account and you will both be terminated.

there are ways to hide an IP or use multiple IPs to pretend to be different people. There is a website that I frequent that someone used multiple accounts to troll and get good users posts removed and accounts suspended....and got himself titled as a 'reliable' user and their security system recognized all his accounts as different people who could be relied on to repprt abuse accurately...and the whole time he was ranting and attacking others...that same system would suspend 2 family members for having multiple accounts because only 1 account was allowed per IP......he was a college student and may have had access to different computers....i don't know if that is how he did it...

he hasn't been around in a few years...but he got all the good users flagged as abusers and unreliable...so we can't get any other abuse removed.....and other abusers can falsely report us and get our posts removed.....and their support ignores our appeals...

This actually happened to me back when my son-law was alive and I lived with him and my daughter. MFI terminated both of us. When I called land explained that we lived at the same address but verified that we were two different people, they reinstated us and said to be careful to use different computers.

What happens if you log in from a library computer or work computer that others use?

This happened to me on a long video shopping route where I was occasionally logging in to the hotel computers to print out paperwork. Each time I did, the auto-fill on the lobby computer would automatically bring me to the MSC login page. I checked the "recently viewed" browser history and sure enough there was some shopper just 2-3 days ahead of me doing the exact same route (and probably printing out the same forms.)

This happened for almost a week, and I got a kick out of being a few steps behind Video Shopper #1. I got no hassle from the MSC , of course, because I was just printing out paperwork and not actually entering my reports.

So - if you went from Boise, ID to Bend, OR to Eugene to Portland in September 2014 doing an auto sales, new home and apartment video route....let me know. I'd love to know who you were!

I'm thinking just one. Remember the old Irish saying?

May those who love us love us,
and those that don't love us,
may God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
may He turn their ankles,
so we may know them by their limping.

Well, I say:

May those who shop be honest,
and those who are not honest
let them them not shop.
But if they shop, let us punch them in them boob
So we may know them by their unevenness.

Why? Is there even a shopper rotation on exit interviews? They aren't a secret and there's no cover to blow. I guess if you're going to turn in fake reports you don't want that on your own account. Ridiculous. No shame whatsoever.

Why? So they don't have to do the work! Yup, very lazy-bones folks out there sometimes. Fake it and make it. I wouldn't, but know of a few people who, if MSers, might take a high-paying assignment, fake it, and wait for the pay. This is why there are so many ominous "Oh, we WILL check video on you, so don't even THINK about faking it," messages on shops. imho, of course.
I never knowingly registered under different emails but I was accused of having duplicate accounts. It so happens I never even did any work for the MSC, not once. Nor have I ever been in touched with them until that time when I asked them to stop sending emails about available shops. Eventually, I discovered the MSC was going under different names. After I asked them to remove my name, I discovered they never deleted my name from their D/base. Eventually now that they stucked to one name, I have maintained a 10 in the shop log. There are more than two sides to a story. Some MSCs are not well organized.
I am not certain it is still this way, but back in the 80's, all you had to do to get a different IP address, was turn off the computer and then turn it on again.
In general, that will no longer work.

If you change the MAC address on your router and reboot the router and cable modem, this will force an IP change with Comcast, Charter and many other ISP's. I only do this if I'm under a DDOS attack. Don't ask me how I get attacked as an end user with a DDOS. Let's just say I upset the wrong person on an IRC channel who has a BOT army.

If you have factory firmware in your router, there is usually an option called "Clone PC MAC address" but I would not advise doing this and having two shoppers with the same company. You will be assigned a new IP address that is usually in the same sub domain and you are not truly hiding your location in any way.
I totally know what you mean, scanman1. I just hate coming under a DDOS attack after upsetting the wrong person on an IRC channel who has a BOT army.
Actually, I have no idea what you mean, scanman1.
(But I take comfort in knowing that you know what you mean.)

IRC is an old chat system (Internet Relay Chat) that honestly I didn't even know was still around. DDOS is a distributed denial of service attack. A BOT is an automated program that does whatever it's programmed to. So Scanman was chatting on an IRC channel (think group). He pissed somebody off on the chat. This person controlled a bunch of computers that ran his BOT which basically sends phantom requests to an IP. When tons of them send the request all at the same time over and over the router gets so busy responding to the request (or most likely rejecting them) it gets so busy that it can't do actual real stuff like let you surf the internet. The only remedy is......new IP address.

Anyone want to start a pool for when The Deceased creates an account here and complains about the MSC unfairly dropping her?

IRC is very much alive. Many message forums and websites have a chat room on a public IRC server. There are even free options to access IRC chat from the communities website that are freely available.

MSF could easily add a chat room on a free open IRC chat server with a web chat portal on this website. There are free IRC chat client APPs available for all phones, tablets and operating systems. As it's the oldest form of chat that goes back to 1988. It even pre-dates the World Wide Web (Internet as you know it) that was created almost a year later. There are communities that I have been chatting with for 20+ years. Some public and some are very private.

IRC is a chat protocol that allows 1000's of chat rooms on a server and each room can have as little as 2-3 users to 1000's. You can anonymously chat with other users in the room and transfer files. There is good moderation controls as well.

I have used the same chat program since 1995 and it's the oldest program I still use:

I'm guessing you pissed someone off in one of those very private rooms?

Just a guess.
