Googled this question already, but still want all of your valued feedback on the best, easiest way to convert a jpeg pic into a pdf as required by Service Sleuth.

Many Thanks

on computers there are programs such as 'dopdf' i don't know if there is anyway to do it directly on the phone.
I personally use one of the following computer apps available in my computer, such as Adobe Acrobat Pro. Most of these programs, you can simply right-click the file(s) and convert to PDF, as needed.

Otherwise, there are tons of online sites that can convert for you as well.

There is a great document scanning app called Genius Scan+ that ces1948 told us about. I downloaded it and I love it. I can take a photo of a receipt or document (that will be a pdf) with my cell phone camera and e-mail it to myself or send it to drop box and probably other things I haven't figured out yet. I downloaded it free from the Amazon store. I like it.

On my Android, after I select the picture in the gallery, I can select print and then choose to save it to a PDF. I am not sure if this is based upon an App I had downloaded or if it is native. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4.

I have shopped for Service Sleuth several times. I always send all my pics jpeg. Are you sure of this?

Arch is right on this. Although Service Sleuth seems to give a little leniency and does acceept jpegs, the guidelines for all the shops I have performed for them say they require pdfs.

On their report forms, next to the Receipt Upload, it says:

"Receipt Upload: Please upload your receipt in
PDF format here. If you have any questions on
how to convert a file to PDF format, please click
on the link below for assistance with this
process. [www.hsbrands.com]
pdf/"
AustinMom, shopper8 – The PDF requirement for the POV's for Service Sleuth shops are dependent on the client. I've performed shops that had the PDF requirement, but also shops that did not state a PDF requirement.

Personally, I like to keep the any pics in JPG, as this is viewed on your copy of the shop that you downloaded after submitting it on SASSIE.

I use windows 8 and have found that smallpdf.com is the easiest to use for me.
If you have Microsoft Office juts open the picture in Word and you can save it as a PDF through there.
Cam Scanner scans/takes a picture, can automatically crop and will send to Dropbox or email in JPG or PDF. It can do multi-page pdfs too, if you have a brochure to upload for example. I tried Genius Scan when it was free on Google Play store, but I couldn't get it to "scan" my ID. Kept making it a bad black and white scan.
Cam Scanner is great on my phone, I use cutepdfwriter on my computer. Both are free downloads and work great.
I second the camScanner app! Great app, very easy to change to pdf or jpg and either email yourself or send to Dropbox.

I third the camScanner App!

Have been using camScanner for about three years now. Works great. I even take the shots at the counter for per diem expenses I say if they ask. On the PC I use Foxit reader. Foxit will not let me save anything that I have modified now and its starting to tick me off. Might have to try Cutepdf.

I have a printer/scanner, so I can scan as pdf or jpg easily. However, if it were me, I'd open Publisher, put the picture in, then save as a pdf. I'd at least try that first for easy conversion.

Cute PDF does work well for saving things as a pdf. You select Cute PDF instead of your printer when printing and you can save it. You can also separate out pages from a long pdf document to be saved seperately. I have had to do ths for revealed audits where I am required to send information to the person I'm meeting with and their paperwork is included in my guidelines.

I JUST upgraded to a new Android phone not even 48 hours ago so I haven't had a chance to d/load any apps yet. I tried this ^ and it worked. Thanks Jwolpert. smiling bouncing smiley

There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
I admit thgat I was skeptical when I just read your message. I have had my Samsung S4 for quite awhile, and had never seen a print option. Maybe it came when it upgraded to the latest version (Lollipop 5.0) two weeks ago. The bottom line is that it is there. A print option, and then I can save it as a PDF file. I have been doing that using CutePDF on my PC. BTW, CutePDF is a great program.

If the phone will already do it that's one less app on your phone. Means more cat videos or whatever you are into.
