Deductions : If a MSC is paid in full shouldn't the shopper as well?

We all can and will make mistakes. Aside from a report being rejected, I do not understand how a MSC can deduct from fees and even reimbursement if the client accepts and pays in full for a report. As a contractor, do shoppers deserve full disclosure any time a deduction is assessed? Without full disclosure is a deduction something shoppers should just accept as a normal part of this business?

I was penalized $1, for doing one thing out of order, the client accepted the shop. I sent a message to the MSC telling them how petty they are being.

Isaiah, when I first started shopping I turned in a report late. It was my first job with that company and I knew it was due by X o'clock, but I did the shop so late in the day I couldn't make the deadline. Lesson learned. I was docked and I accepted it. The company was complimentary as to the report and my narrative.

I'm not sure about your issue. Did you know going in that you would be dinged $1.00 if the steps were out of order? Did the steps being out of order materially affect the integrity of the shop?

I did a shop and most often, I really try to be a fair person. ...The guidelines even said, "please be fair about your observations" so to err on the fair side, I gave an answer but an explanation with it, "to be 100% fair to the associate."

I got an email saying I was docked $1.00 because I should NOT have given the employee that extra "leeway"...um..okay! tongue sticking out smiley
let us know if that MSC deactivates you completely. are you sure it did not say anywhere there were possible deductions in fees?
I am pretty sure every MSC has verbiage somewhere in their agreements or other paperwork allowing for deductions.

As for materially affecting the integrity of the shop, I would think that the client would have rejected it? Anyways that's my point, I have no idea. There was no proper disclosure made to me.

Real simple don't do shops for them, there are several MSCs that ask for way way too much narrative or have 100 questions and a narrative. I give the companies 2 tries if I don't feel the pay is fair or I have to change my report to include all the negative. The server did not offer dessert the server did not ask it this was special occasion, the server.
To me these items if they are not in the report they did not happen. Companies that want me to list negatives I don't shop for again.
