Auditing Gas Stations: How do you keep the different requirements straight in your mind?

I do have cheat sheets, but they seem inadequate. If I'm doing a string of BP's and suddenly two bonused Shells appear on the board, I worry that I've forgotten everything I knew about Shells.
Do you have particular strategies or methods to keep all of the different requirements straight?
I'm about to re-read my Shell program guide. There has to be a better way.

This happens to me sometimes. I simply evaluate every aspect of the station according to the guidelines for every brand, take every picture that might be required, and then sort it out later when I'm entering the report. For example, I will write down everything the clerk said, everything they were wearing, and a complete physical description. I will take a picture of everything that might be out of compliance; get pictures of the building, the canopy from both sides, both sides of every of every ID sign, a gas pump and diesel pump far away and close up, etc.; and note the missing applications, which POP and applications were displayed and where (with pictures), etc. I still have to remember some basic requirements from each brand, such as the inside pictures and both restrooms at Shell stations, but it helps cover the other bases.

I mainly do 3 different gas stations and, for me, the key is a one page worksheet for each one. They are detailed but easy to follow and different for each brand. To be consistent I set them up in the order that I perform the shop with key details in red. I also have a checkoff list for the required photos so that I don't miss a picture. In addition, I have a separate procedure page that is a synopsis of the worksheet listing the steps I take in sequential order. I use this as a memory jogger if I haven't done a particular brand for a while.
The worksheets are updated if anything is added by the MSC and, in fact, I tweak them as I go along and have updated the E/M one 10 times over a period of a year and a half.

I definitely feel that successful gas station shops depend on detailed, logical worksheets.
I have my cheat sheets too, but with the frequent changes and additions/deletions to the shops it does get confusing. The most likely thing I forget is that darn "forecourt photo" of the drive areas. Luckily that seems the easiest one to crop from another photo to submit.

One more thing. It is a good idea to quickly go over your photos before you leave the parking lot. Being in a rush to get to the next shop can lead to a return trip because you missed a photo.

Yes I've learned this one the hard way.
