Smash Burger??

Has any one done a Smash Burger Shop. It Pays $4, reimbursement up to $10. According to the e-mail it can be done between 12 PM and 8 PM. However according to the web site it says The Visit may not take place between 02:01 PM and 06:29 PM.

So I am an little confuse here.. So which one do I follow if I do this and is the report easy?

On the Prophet site, it says to not visit between 2 and 6;30? If so, I'd go with visiting either 12-2 or 6:30-8. From what I understand, sometimes they need reports done during Smashburger's peak hours (12-2 or 6:30-8). Otherwise, the shops just needs to be done between 12-8. It'll usually tell you flat-out in the assignment information. If you need exemption to the particular assignment, just ask the scheduler (likely Jennifer Barrick) to see if they can allow it.

In regards to the assignment, it's a simple narrative assignment. Evaluate the store cleanliness, items you ordered and the employees. Simple assignment, if you can bust out the narratives. Very straight-forward.

Always follow the guidelines which in this case means to get your shop done between 12 and 2pm or 6:30 and 8pm. Its a poorly worded comment and should just have the times in which you can do it.
I think it probably has to do with the way the Prophet website is set up. I noticed that too. I actually just accepted one of these for the first time for later this week. Thanks for the insight, Tarantado!

Thanks for the information. I have never done one and it is a shop that I can fit into my schedule this week.. Thanks again smiling smiley
The two times seem to be a limitation of the Prophet website - which can only specify one time frame. You are supposed to go during either the "lunch" or "dinner" time periods. Some people really, really like Smashburger. They are in my opinion, good, but not spectacular. You will get to find out for free how you feel about it. I personally prefer the burgers at Five Guys, but Smashburger has more variety including chicken and salads. I can't remember how restrictive the ordering requirements are.

Last time I did the store you could order any entree and any side.

Read the guidelines on the main site. You can NOT order any entree. If you do not follow the guides you will not get paid. Everything must be done in the prescribed order.

Be careful in your wording. You cannot order the "Big" burgers and your entree has to have a bun. No veggie burgers. No alcohol.

This MSC is overly fussy about their instructions and will deduct $ from your fee in a heart beat. I will not do another shop for this company and I average almost 200 shops per year.

That is one of the few complaints I have with the MSC. While me and the scheduler have a clear understanding of the requirements such as when I'll perform the shop, etc., the editors appear to see things pretty black & white.

One example was when I learned over time that the shop time scheduled on the assignment isn't exactly when I have to perform the shop, as long as I perform within the time frame and scheduled date.

i.e. If my shop's listed as 12:00 PM on 7/13/15 on my profile, yet I perform on 7:00 PM on 7/13/15 (which is still acceptable per guidelines), and I submit my shop around 2:00 PM on 7/14/15, I sometimes get deducted for submitting the report late. In actuality, the report's NOT late. FYI, the MSC's standard turnaround time to submit the report is 24 hours after the actual visit. From there, I have to submit a request and tell them to remove the deduction. I've had some other issues in the past where I had to justify I performed within specifications, but in the end, the issues were resolved and were able to reach an agreement.

Otherwise, I enjoy working with the MSC's schedulers and with the clients they have. I actually like the simplicity of their food shops. They're pretty straight-forward and their report format are nearly identical from one client to the next.

You're right. Sorry for the confusion.

Tarantado, you can change the scheduled time before starting the report

Are you sure? Just checked my upcoming Smashburger shop and unlike other shops where there's a "reschedule" visit option, there isn't any for this shop and usually their other shops.

As I've said before, the scheduler's OK with me shopping within the time frame as long as I stay committed with the shop, not necessary the scheduled time they give me whenever they schedule me themselves (which happens every once in a while). I see it as a waste of time to send a meaningless update to the scheduler to give them a more "accurate" time of visit, when the editor should know to just look at my actual visit time and compared that to when I turn in my shop; NOT when my "scheduled" time of visit.

Looks like they changed that option, oh well. No way to get the internal clock in sync.

In the end, I believe it's not an issue until the editor mistakenly deducts for a late submission, when it reality, it wasn't late. Even then, it's a simple follow-up to get things straightened out.
