BANK CD SHOP: Was I outed???

Did the first bank shop in years which was an inquiry regarding opening up a Certificate Of Deposit. As soon as I sat with the representative, the branch manager jumped out of her seat to interject her assistance. Did she know a shopper was coming??? Or maybe the person helping me was new on the job?? BUT...they took down my phone number for a follow up call which to date, has not occurred. That troubles me....also, I cash my check at another branch of the same bank and the teller who knows me, does not smile as normal, but instead is over patronizing of me, more so than normal...was this shopper's identity comprised and circulated among this bank's area branch offices???

I have had branch managers come over in banks when for some reason they felt that the CSR was not doing a good job, or maybe it was a new CSR, or maybe the CSR was getting demoted and was doing a horrible job. Yes, all of those and more have happened to me. And I have been double-teamed when the CSR was being trained, or a teller was sitting in to learn the ropes. I don't believe that you were outed.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
The other day I was on the Harland Clarke website (not the shopper part but actually the services offered by the company part). There was a video of the woman who is in charge of mystery shopping for a credit union talking about how the mystery shopping program helps them identify cues from customers that allow them to basically sell more services. They incorporate these into the training programs for employees of the credit union and then follow up with shops to see if the training 'took'. Nothing really new there, but in Arch's situation it may well be that they have just finished a training program and are making sure they apply it to all customers.
