Any tips on making reporting for MF quicker?

FF shop reporting with Market Force takes a long time. It usually takes me 45 to 60 minutes to complete one. I wish they less pages to go through.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Does anyone else feel the reporting for MF is a long and drawn out process that needs to be shortened?

It's not worth $7.50 plus the meals when you factor in an hour to do the report on top of doing the shop plus any potential driving involved. If no one takes them, how long till they add on a bonus?

I don't do the FF but I find that when I know a report well I have all sorts of short cuts. First, some of my reports ask if I went to such and such address. Later they ask for the address and phone number off the receipt. I do a highlight and copy of their address when answering that question up front and then paste it into where they ask for the address and phone number, so all I need to add is the phone number.

Especially the early pages of the report have only one or two questions and whenever the last question answered was just selecting a 'radio button', I can then hit 'enter' and the report will move on to the next page. I also know my form well enough to know when a 'yes' will make the 'flag' questions down the rest of the page irrelevant so can turn the page and move on.

The shop I do most frequently for them took 3 1/2 minutes with the previous MSCs that had it. It now takes 5-7 min because of all the dumb page turns. And on a night when their website is slow it can be upwards of 15 just because of the page turns.

sexy, are you using Chrome? That's what they recommend. I find that since I got WIndows 10 it seems to be going a little faster for me. I agree the reports are really draggy. I'm working on some right now. To offset the despair, I turned on soothing music and mixed myself some Weller and OJ. (Don't tell MF I drink on the job - they think I'm an angel.)

Also, here's a little tip I discovered if you are doing the stations. You can download all the pictures at one time by holding down the control key, clicking each pic, and then double clicking the last pic. Shazam! Just a little gem I know now that I didn't know then or when. All y'all who didn't know are real welcome.

MF's site is a little slower than most other MSCs that I use. It doesn't usually matter that much (like when the map takes 7 seconds to load instead of 4 seconds... ehh, no big deal). But when you're doing a report and there's ONE QUESTION and then you have load another page which also has ONE QUESTION. Ugh. Annoying. The reports have never taken me 45-60 minutes, though. That sounds really slow.

Maybe try Chrome as Mary suggested. I use it and now that I'm familiar with the reports, they usually take about 15 minutes. Good luck!

That won't ever happen because:
1) They have too many shops and running them through SASSIE would cost a fortune (there is a SASSIE fee for each shop on there)
2) They would no longer have complete control and access to their databases, questionnaires and other proprietary information.

They are definitely a company large enough that it is economical for them have their own IT staff rather than paying someone else to do their IT work. It does please me, however, that the knee jerk response from Help Desk to a system outage is no longer that 'Everything is fine. It must be YOUR computer.'

My only suggestion is to do the reports early in the day or late at night. The site is the most sluggish in the evenings, when everyone is submitting reports or the Internet is just clogged in general.
You'd think MF would have expanding forms where irrelevant questions would not be shown unless you answered no or checked a box on the previous question. Of course this is not the case and to have to flip a page after checking one box that says there was no bus present gets irritating.
I go through the drive thru and then sit in my car and debrief the drive thru. That gives me the required time between the two parts of the shop. Then I go inside and order my meal. I check for the phone number on the door and stop in the restroom before ordering. I sit down for my 15 minutes and debrief the dine in portion. I hit submit and then leave. I finish the shop before I leave the restaurants using their WiFi. Just be sure a person cleaning the dining room doesn't see what you are working on. Lol

I report that shop in 20 minutes max by PC or tablet. If by phone maybe a few extra minutes if I have problems to report.

My posts are solely based on my opinions and for my entertainment, contact a professional if you need real advice.

Scanman, keep in mind MF believes we would just get too confused if there was more than one question on a pagewinking smiley

A shop with no narrative shouldn't have to take 20+ minutes to report. I am an extreme multitasker who usually has 15 tabs open. I just amuse myself on another tab while waiting for MF to do it's thing.
Some other things to consider:

To help avoid having to double-check your report at the end, do a slow double-check before moving onto the next screen when actually doing the report.

Have you tested out which browser works best for you? For me, Chrome works the fastest, on my end.

It's not necessary to call the location first to see if they are open. There is no narrative if you answer this question no but if you say yes, you then have to write what you found out on the phone call.
I have noticed that they seem to be very slow in the early evening to the late evening. The shops I am able to report in the morning, say a breakfast shop, go so much faster than the ones in the evening, after a dinner shop.
Is this for the report for the FF Classic Taste client that MF has? I have never done one because I never pass their test. But, does the report really take an hour to complete? Is it because each question is on a new page, or the amount of commentary required? The Fast Casual report takes me 10 minutes total, including receipt and CPI upload.

The extra time is mainly from the wait time between each 'page' of the report when you're going through it. The report's no different than their other ones.

It would make life a crap-ton easier (and faster) if their reporting system's like a SASSIE or a Prophet type of report.

Can't imagine it taking an hour. Yes there are repetitive questions and only a few to a page but I still zip through it.

That's funny, I wish all of them would switch to a format like Market Force. I can't stand Sassie.
MDavisnowell, thank you for the suggestion about uploading multiple pictures at once. I did a gas station this morning and I was able to upload all the pictures at once. Definitely a time saver. Thank you.
I have not done any FF shops for Market Force because I refuse to do them for any MSC. I do the Fast Casual food shops for MF and the reports are very quick and easy. My only complaint with their reports is that I can no longer save my completed report without having to spend so much time cleaning it up of all the unnecessary clutter. I used to be able to save the summary in MS Word in it's complete form with it looking just like the summary that I submit.
Go online and get cutePDFwriter. This is a virtual printer that turns what you "print" into a pdf that you can store on adobe acrobat. Both of these programs are free.

When you get to the summary page, use your browser's print button and it will let you select a printer, pick cutepdf, name the file, and you're done.

Half of the questions seem to be aimed at catching you in a mistake so they don't have to pay you and alot of them are redundant.
When I start a report I hit the F11 key to switch to full screen. I find that having the extra landscape reduces some scrolling if there are several questions on a page. However, lately it seems that there are fewer and fewer questions per page do thus tip may not be as useful anymore.
Some progress. A recent fast casual report did not include questions regarding whether I consider the fries to be a good value, would I order them in the future, etc.

Yes, I agree, the short frames and page turn times are painful. However, the collapse of subsequent questions to an NA answer is appreciated.
The problem with Chrome is that it is known to make consumer reports to third parties, along with many of those home security devices.
