Beware of MSC Mail in Spam!

Hey gang, today I went in to check my spam email before dumping it. Lo and behold, there were two emails in there stating I was approved for shops! Can you imagine being a flake for mail you may not have known you received if you just dumped it without checking first! BTW, I have gmail and I never had this issue before. I have this msc in my contact list but the scheduler was not. That was probably why! Usually they go into the inbox but not the main one. Well beware all!

Also, check your trash, especially if you use Yahoo mail. I dumped them (Yahoo mail) because email, from listed contacts mind you, kept going straight to trash.
And yes, I'm sure I didn't put it there.
Gmail will send stuff to spam, but at least they will let it through. It is interesting to note that an increasing number of scheduler emails that arrive in my IN box are coming with a gmail red box warning that 'other users have considered similar emails to be scams'. Uh duh.
Same here with the red box warning. I have to agree though. Some of those schedulers are literally spamming. I get 3 or 4 same exact emails at the same time and then later during the day or everyday. Again and again.
If I don't clean up my two emails every day, it gets out of control.
I've even unsubscribed to a few. And more to come if this keeps up.

Speaking of spam emails, does anyone know where I could do a quick and easy Auto Insurance quote shop from home?

(please don't answer... this is a joke based on the 40 or so emails I get about these shops each day)

Shopper in California's Bay Area
Would be appreciated for the MSC to state, if not in the subject line, then first sentence in the details, which insurance companies are excluded.

I've always used Yahoo mail for my shops. Have never had any email go directly to Trash, just heard about it here. Will watch for it.
I agree. They were also, for awhile, only looking for males. This wasn't stated until after filling out the application. So frustrating!
I'm new to this Mystery folks. Can U plz name some of these spam MSC mail identifiers? I'm also getting alot and only want to find mostly local and best paying as I'm disabled Vet 100% not able to "work" in the traditional sense. TKY
Thomdale, if you're asking us to name which MSCs or schedulers are sending out multiple messages like this, our independent contractor agreements prevent us from saying so. It sometimes happens even with really good companies, though. You either complain about it (which would probably not be smart) or you basically just grit your teeth and accept it as part of the job. If you are not interested in or are unable to complete certain types of assignments and do not want to receive e-mails about them, then you can e-mail the scheduler back to say that. In most cases, they will stop sending you those types of e-mails.

Ok fellow MSCs the worst feared has happened and I'm taking action. Thus was my reason inasking the prior ? I was "SCAMMED" and luckily caught the issue before it got out-of-hand. A MSC contacted me with assignments which I was more than eager to begin however as I read from another part of this forum it was bogus assignments, Fake, forged Cashiers Checks and directed that the assignment involved Walmart & MoneyGram. So a herd-lesson learned is more wisdom to be wary and fully investigate credentials. TKY for the Heads-Up

If a scheduler is emailing from their personal database, they may have combined more than one of their lists and have not deleted the duplicates (which is one simple step in Excel). I can see why this would be irritating to you. It's also counterproductive on many levels for the scheduler...send them a nice email and explain that you're receiving duplicates and could they please make sure you're not on more than one of their database lists. Also, be sure you don't have multiple email addresses that forward to the same addy. This would also result in the receipt of duplicate emails.
