Question about Market Force sending shops a month early

Good evening

I receive the daily e-mail about MF shops in my area. There is one in my area that I would like to do. However the dates that it can be done is the last week of October.

I went ahead and I picked the day that I could do it. I can do it any time that day.

My question is do you schedule shops a month of ahead of time?

Depends completely on the shops, when they are posted and whether I like them at the posting price.
Yes, I schedule a month or more ahead.

Some MSCs schedule them months early. MFI and sqm.ca, among many. I actually prefer it because I can plan ahead and it's easier for my schedule.
Isaiah, the Market Force website has a reschedule feature. You probably know that, but I didn't at first and I worked for a while before I caught on to it. I found it after someone on this wonderful forum mentioned it. We learn so much here from one another.

I often schedule work months in advance but not a $10 fast casual shop. If I'm scheduling more than a day or two away it's got to be 100x that.

Yes I did know that.. But I know some times that you can't reschedule to do clients requirements.

Yes I know stuff comes up at the last minute

Yes we learn from each other here smiling smiley That's why I love this forum smiling smiley
Usually what I'll schedule a month or so ahead is bundled work or a string of stations in a similar area. Once I get that laid out on my spreadsheet, I might add some food shops if I can find something with a long window, say 11 to 8, that's a good one. I can't afford to pick up anything with a strict breakfast or lunch or dinner time because I'm not sure exactly where I'll be when. Once I'm on the road and into the day, then I can pick up something with a shorter window if it works for me.

Those 11-8 shops are spectacular.

Absolutely 100% I schedule that far in advance. By the time that month comes, I have quite a few shops smiling smiley

I love those too! Such a wide range to get 'em done smiling smiley
Usually, I schedule short-term. If I want more work, specific work, or to travel, I will schedule farther into the future.

I am mostly programmed until the middle of October and may do some things in November. I left plenty of time open for trying new-to-me shops.

I book way in advance but I do several special projects, some monthly and some quarterly. I am booking into December right now. I always leave a little wiggle room for last-minute and bonused shops.

ETA: I do not do a lot of shops for MF because I won't do FF or work for p-nuts.

I take MF gas shops when they are posted as they get snapped up. FF.. I wait till they are bonused, or people flake last minute and pick them up for good bonuses.
I don't like scheduling to far in advance. A few days is usually my limit. I do make exceptions for bonused shops though, then I'll start adding shops in the area to go with the bonused one.

I like staying relatively free, so that I can jump in the car and go do a highly bonused shop if the opportunity arises.

It could be that I'm just lucky in my area, I can travel 30 miles in any direction and find 5-6 shops to do.

The only things scheduled in advance in my world is my gas station routes, and I have 5 weeks to complete them. That's one of the reasons I like them.

That is why mystery shopping can not be neatly packaged as a unified industry. No two shoppers and no two areas/regions are the same. I am in an over-saturated metropolitan area where shops fly off the boards, even those crappy $4.00 shops. I try not to judge because everyone has different reasons, personal and financial, as to why they take the shops that they do. I wouldn't even roll over in bed for a $4.00 shop but other shoppers do not have the desire or ability to do high-end shops with lengthy, detailed commentaries which pay a lot more than $4.00.
This morning, I applied for a few gas stations in November. So yes, I will schedule that far out if I know for sure that I will do it anyway and it is worthwhile. I have never seen a gas station get bonused in my city, so no reason to have to wait for those. It would just end up getting taken by somebody else.
