I went to Speedway before the sun came up. Unfortunately, they did not carry both products. I stopped at Publix and they had one product in an end-cap refrigerator that was branded with the product and the other one on the isle. The survey confirmed what I already knew about the products when sampled separately.

Let me also add that I accepted the shop on my home PC before I left for the store. I then pulled up the shop on my phone in my driveway and it said that I had 1 hour 23 minutes left. I came home and sampled the products and went back to my home PC to enter the results and it said that the shop had expired. It was less than 35 minutes from when I accepted the assignment.

Luckily, nobody else took the location or the limit for this shop was not met and I was allowed to select the same location again. There are still some issues with the software and multiple devices with the same account logged in.

I am traveling this weekend. This has some potential if it's working. I am in a Kroger area smiling smiley
It is a $3 shop as Publix has the product 50% off. My Publix is literally in walking distance. I also like the product. Then factor in the fact that I will get the $25 bonus when the next project comes out as it will be my fifth round of Presto shops.

The closest shop is almost an hour away, and it has a limit on the timing of the shop of one hour and 30 minutes. I can't drive that far for one shop and I can't risk signing for more than one at a time and being able to meet the time restrictions.

Nice for those living in populated areas.... but a bear for those who have to travel far.

Another mobile platform is also doing the shop this weekend. It pays $8 including reimbursrment.
I went to two of the locations on my way home from a breakfast shop this morning and neither one carried the products. I wish there was a way to notate that on the survey. All I was able to do is cancel it, which means it has the potential of wasting a lot of people's time, gas, and vehicle emissions.

@scanman1 I think it's a requirement to complete the shop on location.

No location geoverify for this shop. This is why they want a receipt and opened products in the photo.
It doesn't say so on the website, that I found, but the email I received said: "You MUST fill out the questionnaire on your mobile device AT THE LOCATION. Your current location will be detected and you will only be able to complete the survey at the location."

And while I was looking for that info, I found the place at the bottom of the survey where I could have reported that they didn't carry the product, and taken a photo of the store. Drat. Maybe I'll go back tomorrow if it's still up.

I did one at Speedway yesterday. The two items came to more than $3 ($3.61). But, the store is about 1/2 mile from my house and it was simple enough, and I do enjoy bottle teas (not something I would buy on my own dime).
My instructions stated to "go to a quiet place" and fill out the questions. I just drove to my house 1/2 mile from the store. I didn't see any indication it would be rejected. I don't have any level surfaces in my vehicle where something might not accidentally spill while I am taking the photos. If they don't accept it I am only out $5. Oh well.
I have a really stupid question. One of these is available at one of my "regular" shop locations. Am I allowed to purchase THIS product as my required purchase for the other shop? I don't want to create a conflict. My regular shop is for an entirely different MSC. In effect, Company A would reimburse me for the required purchase, and Company B would pay me the $5 for the Insta-Shop. Would that be a conflict? I would not want to risk my relationship with the MSC I do this shop for. Thank you for any info.
Ceases, although many shoppers may do that and not say anything to either MSC (double dipping), I can be fairly certain it is a conflict.
Lorri, I sent you an email with a question. I know you are swamped with a million other things going on or might like to have a day where you don't have to work, but I noticed you posted in here a little bit ago. I am hoping you pop into the site to address the question: is it okay if we don't do the taste test and survey at the location and go home instead? I see several more of these in my area and would like to do them, but I am afraid of spilling the tea inside of my very clean car--there are no flat surfaces in my vehicle where the drinks can sit upright and not spill. Please let me know.
Well, I don't want to risk a long-standing relationship with Company A (who provides a significant % of my
MS'ing income!) for a $5 shop. Thank you very much for the quick reply.
I'm not an authority on that, others feel free to chime in with your experiences/opinions on that.

I'm not so sure I would call this double dipping. If the MSC is asking to evaluate a grocery or convenience store, they are mostly interested in the service and condition of the store. They will reimburse the shopper to purchase a small item in order to gauge the service provided by the cashier. Presto and their Client want to find out your opinion about a product. While they want a photo of the receipt, they are not basing their compensation on your purchase price. This is a flat fee for your feedback, not a reimbursement. Company A paid for (all or part of) the product, while Company B wants your opinion on said product. It is just convenient that the purchase for one meets the needs of the other. My personal opinion is that they are two distinct assignments. That being said, I don't know if I would risk it either, if I had a significant amount of business with Company A.

Could I have a receipt please?

We do not have a problem with this in this instance, as long as you purchase both teas and taste them. Our shop is NOT a mystery shop (no customer service or cleanliness observations). It is SIMPLY a taste test. Much like if you were doing a shop at Costco or Sam's Club and were trying samples and giving your opinion.

As long as you enter your results within 90 minutes of claiming them, you do not have to taste at the location. Just make sure you get a receipt to verify you were at the correct location!
Hi Just an fyi as I sent an email through Presto Insta-Shop for answers.

I did both a Speedway and a Publix today. They both appeared fine and I headed home. Once home I checked and it showed I had two incomplete shops. I redid them both. It took five tries to get the Publix through and not show an incomplete shop but now it is listed 5 times as complete. It took two times to get the Speedway to go through and yet it only shows once. Very frustrating but hopefully just a glitch as I would like to do these in the future. I also wanted to update my picture for one of the stops but it doesn't appear this is an option.
Thank you for your input, Lorrie. I appreciate that.
