Weather at time of shop question on reports

I found this site to be great to help with those car wash reports that ask for the weather at the time of the shop. The report I have even asks for the temperature so if I forget to record it from my phone at the time, I know I can always look it up from here as it gives a hourly update for each day.

When I see weather on a report, I just give the general -- sunny, clear, hot, cold, rainy -- whatever it is. I've only had one report that asked for a specific temp (and it was not a car wash) and all I could do with that is use the temp before I left home when I could look it up. Yep, old car and no data plan on the smartphone. So far, nothing has been returned and I always advise when the temp is taken at home.

Yes, I have never seen a report ask for a temperature, only for a general description and sometimes weather conditions. Interesting that they want to get that specific!

I can understand if it was a pizza delivery shop.

I suppose if it's raining, it will impact cleanliness of the floor.

Another possibility is that it could help employees. For some shops, it seems to be okay if an employee's name badge is obscured by an approved sweater or jacket. For this condition, the employee needs evidence of tempeature/weather and difficulty of placing name badge on the sweater or jacket.

Hedgehog shops ask general weather too, if my memory serves me correct. Makes sense for the skates and carhops.

They must be doing some analysis of how the weather impacts the business. I've also seen exact tempst required for gym clubs.

It might be 50s degrees outside and this person may have a light jacket or it can be 50 degrees outside and no jacket.

I just thought they were asking for weather so they could compare it to the pictures to make sure they matched. If you say it's sunny and the pictures show rain, it's obvious you didn't take pictures at the time you did the shop.

The ones I have seen it on the most (and have to use this link if I don't make a note of it at the time) is the car wash ones. They make a big deal out of the weather in the guidelines and tell you to check the weather forecast before going (and reschedule if even the hint of rain!). The temperature impacts whether the advisor is allowed to be inside (and just come outside to talk to cars) or if they are required to stand outside the entire time. This is the car wash shop that also asks about the stuffed animals and the name of the company sounds like a team.
