Fast Food Drive Thu Question

I'm getting ready to do my first drive thru fast food shop and I see in the instructions I'm suposed to order the items individualy starting with a hamberger then wait to see if they offer combo or drink, order the beverage wait then order the side (not including baked potato, danish, muffins, salad). My question is, if they offer the combo after the hamberger do I order the drink then wait to see if they ask if I want a side. That seems to be what the instructions say to do but why would the ordertaker offer the side again if you didn't agree to the combo the first time.
I'm sure I'm over thinking this but I know many of you have done this shop before and would love to hear what to expect.

If it is the one I am thinking of, if they offer you the combo, it is over, you accept it and they have done what they are supposed to do. At least for that portion.
True. If they suggest a combo, you have your full meal.smiling smiley If you are allowed to order beyond a combo, like dessert, then you would after the combo was suggested.
